Matthew Elliot would be a perfect coach for us

Can we sign him?? he would install some disapline to the team stop the stupid mistakes. turn us into more of a boring grinding team like he did with the raiders.

Id even like to have RIcky Stuart, Stuart can't build teams but he can take a team already built all the way. (case in point roosters)

I am over the same dumb mistakes same gameplan same style of player, the obession of the 05 grand final attack died years ago and fans media the players coach keep holding onto it.

until the coach is changed it's here to say what we see now.
 
great idea…loved Elliot's disciplined Panthers side and boy did Stuart do wonders with the Sharks! Can we bring them both in as assistants to Kearney for us next year?
 
So is our current predicament brought about by Sheens or the players? I am pretty sure that Tim doesn't tell them to kick bombs out on the full or run into touch.

So the question is not whether we have game plan or whether we have the right to chose the players that picks our game plan. The players are more responsible then they realise. They will never be more important then they are right now!

Should they choose not to step up then the boys will realise they are no chance of making the finals, however should they be made more aware of the situation …......
 
When Elliot coached at penrith I distinctly remember Gould questioning Elliot's ability to coach discipline because of the phases they went through they kept giving away penalties and had a near enough is good enough attitude! Blame sheens for as much as u like but fact is without him we would be a lot lower down the ladder!
Comparing out style of play to 05 is crazy, go and watch the tapes, we r not holding onto 05 at all!

Geez there are some knee jerk threads whenever the Tigers lose.
 
we are holding onto the 05 well the fans the media are the most everyone is carrying on about how great we are to watch dribblers like Gus Gould because they think of us as the 2 months attack from 05 they should watch the games this year the attack is awful the trys we scoored last night were more flukey then anything
 
He was a bit loopy at Penrith. After that he has been with Brian Smith for a while now so mentally he would be all broken and wrong inside.

So no thanks.

Mick Potter is out of a job at bradfield though

I'd take Potter. Coincidently his coaching career started under Matthew Elliot. Although no titles, he's taken Catalans to the final of the Challenge Cup and won Super League coach of the year in 08\. I'd have him or Daniel Anderson.
 
Daniel Anderson is the only out of work coach I'd take at the moment. Elliott at Penriff was much like Sheens, close to the players so it would be more of the same.

Well said Golden. As supporters we have some incredibly delusional fans and we hold onto 2005\. Go back and read some of the moronic posts from 2 weeks ago. We win some unconvincing games and some moron talks about how we are now a good chance of the minor premiership. Ayshford plays 1 great game against the Warriors last year and a few other solid games and people taut him for origin when he's not even more than an average first grader (Has he EVER set up his winger in 4 years of first grade? Not once to my count).

The Tigers need a change, they need someone to shake things up. Its not so much about some of Sheens Bizarre decisions, but he is now the longest serving coach at any club. Get rid of him.

Elliot would be fine, but there are better options. Elliot has never coached a great side. He would froth at the mouth at the idea of coaching a side with guys like Marshall and Farah.

Couple of good coaches in the ESL at the moment don't really have to look to hard,don't be fooled by the Sheens spin doctors plenty of replacements .

there have been threads like this when we were winning as well..

do people really think we don't need a change? and that everything is perfect and that the only problem with the club atm is injuries?
 
No thanks , he was bent at penrith and now he works with a real nutter , i could do a better job and so could every one on here
 
Oh God no! His coaching stints at both Canberra and Penrith proved that Elliot has no idea how to mentally prepare a team or rectify inconsistency either. It'd just be more of the same.
 
I'm all for a change but not this guy. Entertaining in press conferences but that it. I agree with CB, Anderson is the man
