According to SMH we have signed NYC Prop Matthew Lodge from Melbourne effective immediately. If your not sure who he is, he's known for writing the c"'t on his wrist during U20's state of origin. Melbourne had big wraps on this kid.

He actually impressed me in NYC SOO game

Well I'm sure he won't do anything that dumb again. Maybe c*** is just his nickname and Moses was actually talking to him in that game?!

He listened during spelling class…..all good
Im sure some of the wowsers here will be getting their panties in a bunch though.
quittin tiiiiime, its quittin time

Credit where credit is due, he did spell it correctly!!

Hopefully he settles down with us and adds that much needed size that we always seem to lack.

Matthew Lodge enjoyed a strong U20 season with Melbourne, earning a spot as a part of the club's first-grade squad in 2014.

Lodge earned selection in the 2013 NYC Team of the Year despite missing a significant part of the season due to a knee injury. Before being struck down by injury, the front-rower averaged an impressive 148 meters gained per match for the Thunderbolts.

In his first year with Melbourne, Lodge completed a traineeship with the club participating some pre-season training with the NRL squad.

In addition to making the NYC Team of the Year, Lodge also earned selection for New South Wales’ U20 Origin side despite still being eligible at U18 level. The prop also represented the Blues at U16 and U18 level in 2011 and 2012.

Good signing tbh, he is a great player, has size & impressed me in that game. Hopefully Galloway gets shopped around.

It was actually an acronym for Carry Under Neath There. What we didn't see was the arrow on the other side. Trust me I know, I'm a mate of a mate of a cousin of his

Do you like ANY of our players or would you prefer we replace them all?

Thanks very much for that flash. Impressive cv for a youngster!
Given his strong dislike for wrist taping ( ) and such a good rep record, if I were interviewing him for a job I'd be trying to ascertain his attitude.
Pretty sure the tigers are right on to this (see Nathan browns change) so it seems a great buy!

I don't hate him HAHA I am just a bigger fan of impact props rather than props who just get the job done.

So any word on why Melbourne would release him, considering he has such a bright future in the game??

Who knows but hopefully cause he was homesick being a Blacktown Boy.Or maybe he told Bellamy hes a c**t.LOL.We Might get a Fifita situation in reverse so we actually get the good deal this time.

Hmm ….. doesn't sound quite right to me. Ignoring his boneheaded offensive wrist strapping, all game in the U20s origin he looked hell bent on starting or getting involved in brawls. It's the only time I've seen him, or heard of him, in fact, so maybe I'm judging him harshly. But, Melbourne would not have let him go if they saw a future in him there. Was he offloaded by them or chased by the Tigers?
