Matthew Lodge Signs With Tigers For 2014

Very good signing. Lodge has been earmarked for years as a future rep player.
I know Penrith were very disappointed when they lost him to a suspiciously high offer

I had a quick look through the Storm fan forum and they all seemed quite happy he was gone, apparently has an attitude problem. That said they are storm supporters.

We would not have paid huge money,we can't afford it,so it will be a great signing

He apparently has an attitude problem but is also a very talented young prop. It's an interesting signing considering that prop isn't really an area of concern for us. This could be a great signing or it could be one of those ones where we see some off-field issues. Only time will tell. Good luck go the young man.

I just like that even at NYC level the club has recognised a short coming and gone about rectifying it

Jordan Grant | #11 | Second Row

Born: 15 Aug 1994
Height: 190 cm.
Weight: 98 kg.

Those stats are a little out too. Someone else posted in the NYC section a few weeks back that Grant is still growing and his currently playing at 104kg. This can only be a good thing for our NYC side as our front row was definitely lacking in size at the start of the year.

came across this today….I wonder if this if Matthew Lodge..?...if yes, I wish he did punch Belamy in the snooz...he deserves it!

**Lurking in the Carpark**

Which talented young player who changed clubs recently did so after threatening to deck his coach? The fiery forward wasn’t happy at being overlooked for a top grade spot and offered to take the coach outside. Not surprisingly, he was told the next day his services are no longer required – and he can consider himself fortunate that he was picked up by another club unaware of the drama only a few days later. Despite the player being 20 kilos heavier and 30 years younger, my spies would still have backed the coach had the pair decided to settle the matter in the car park.

Funny that there is still nothing on the tigers web site about us signing Lodge. Is this for real or is it another fantasy signing.

So that answers my question about why Melbourne got rid of him.

This signing will either be rocks or diamonds…. And not sure if this is the type of bloke we need at he club.

The move could do the world of good for the guy.

Bellamy is a aggressive, confronting and at times down right abusive coach. Some do not react well

I would like to get the address to that car park. Wanna pay a visit to belly myself.

Should be some interesting confrontations with the opposition when Brown and Lodge team together in the front row.

Confirmed by Wests Tigers about 20 mins ago http://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2014/06/02/wests_tigers_sign_matthew_lodge.html

If Potter can hammer those reported 'attitude' problems out of him, should be a good signing.

Hopefully can bring the best out of Brown too, having some competition.

If Lodge can pull his head in, and that's still a big if, he could be one of the best props in the game in a few years time. Few props have stood out in the NYC like he has done. An absolute monster.

But he has to realise you can't go around threening people (especially your coach) whenever you don't get selected. That will be the express lane to Centrelink. Hopefully his mum and dad can get him to pull his head in (may have been a bit more of a loose cannon without their presence?)..

He makes Klemmer look like a pattycake!

Which is an attitude problem in itself.
