Nothing shattering there, but Tallis said it best, if Benji trying to sort his form out why is he in Bali and not with the team?

Because benji is all about Benji, the team is secondary

Tallis has rarely said anything of worth. Does he think the rest of the team is training together while Benji is taking a break?

What a load of crap this is all turning out to be. Benji is good f,or headlines but I'm afraid the wrong ones. Yeh get paid more short term and loose your media job later which is what he has left. Dead set out of form but no brains either :bash

I didn't see the show. So what's the deal, is Johns merely adding fuel to the fire that Benji will play Union with the Tahs?

benji probably sick of going to Kiama  seriously though Tallis made a fair point but everyone is different in the way they approach things.

Just said speculations, the tags have him next year an he is in Bali to decide..

Nothing new! All ha an opinion on what they think he should do.

Points like:
-play him fullback
-should've stayed with the team
Etc etc

Following a disappointing game last Friday night, I thought the team would be spending the next fourteen days trying to get the necessary improvement they need to win their next game. Did the whole team go to Bali with Benji? If not, is Benji part of the team or not?

Well…we are 3rd last, but yeah I guess thats a good reason for a short mid season holiday for everyone...bar the rep players

If I remember correctly he said Fitzsimmons and other rugby types tweeted that its a done deal Benji signed with the waratahs.

The mid season break isn't new though and fairly sure every team (1st or last) takes it. People are acting like Benji decided to ditch everyone and relax or something.

There is mail Wests Tigers superstar Benji Marshall may switch codes and hook up with the Waratahs.

Triple M's Mark "MG" Geyer picked up this tweet from Aussie journalist and former Wallaby Peter FitzSimons saying "it is to be announced this week Benji Marshall has signed with the Waratahs. You heard it here first."

While it's only a rumour at this stage, Triple M's Matty Johns told The Grill Team he wasn't surprised given recent events.

"Well does anyone thank it's a little bit strange that the [Wests] Tigers are struggling, and Benji's been struggling for fitness a little bit, and they get a break and he and the wife go to Bali? Do you find that a little odd?"

More to come.
Earlier On Triple M

There has been speculation on where Benji Marshall will go when his contract with Wests Tigers expires at the end of 2015.

Triple M's Andrew Johns reckons there's "no chance he'll go to rugby union."

"I'd love to see Benji stay at the Tigers - he's one of the superstars of our game and I think our superstars should be one-club players." he said on Triple M's The Rush Hour.

"He can mentor these young guys, I hope they sort it out."

Marshall has admitted frustration his club shelved plans to extend his deal for another two years and is now considering jumping to Rugby Union.

"To my knowledge, I'd done a deal to stay at the Tigers until 2017, but with the changes to the CEO and the club, they've informed me that won't be the deal any more. I've got a lot of things to weigh up," he told Fairfax Media last week.

"Growing up, it was a dream of mine to play for the All Blacks. That changed and I started playing rugby league. But I'll consider rugby, absolutely."
Andrew Johns On Triple M's The Rush Hour:

Id recommend a week training at high altitude in USA like several AFL players do mid season.

He needs to train his butt off literally and metaphorically.

I'd be upset if he wasn't, but all I've heard in recent times is how much effort he puts in at training. Literally the first to arrive and the last to leave etc.

You can over think things at a certain point. The mid season break works, its why coaches use it to great effect.

signed with the Tahs? There goes his dreams of playing for the All Blacks. Personally I hope he stays. Would love to see what a Marshall/Brooks combo can do, this year is well and truly gonski so some of ya's should just calm the fck down

Please Benji, what position do you think you would be able to play in the all black squad?
The ego of the guy, Seriously he isn't even the best kiwi league 5/8 anymore, and there are 20 times more union players in NZ than league. He would struggle playing club rugby in sydney, besides I'd imagine Dan Carter might have something to say about it. .
It's all smoke and mirrors to pressure the club to fork over the cash and give him a nice retirement fund for 2016/17.
