Mavrik Geyer

No … I think most people know the likes of Seyfarth and Sukkar aren’t much …but we aren’t going to over estimate Mavrik just yet either
No one is saying Geyer is going to play origin in a few years. Looking purely at stats he out performs our boys hands down, having a much stronger impact on games. He's more level headed and less error prone than Seyfarth and he's a much stronger player in defence and attack than Sukkar.
Let's hope he can bring something to the club next season and be a decent backup option

He literally has no one else to choose from. They're all that's left in the top 30. And if he likes what they bring, he'll love what Mav brings even more. Youse two guys wouldn't play first grade for any other club. Sukkar wouldn't be top 30 at any other club

Mate … I’m not defending the other two … just saying Mav will start the season behind them ..I’ll be here round 1 … talking about it now means nothing

I like what Mav was doing for the Riff last year when he strung a few games together in grade. Hard worker with some soft hands, can bend the line and doesnt shirk the heavy lifting.
Hes a great pickup that will develop further IMO.
Young and we all know Forwards take a little longer to mature.

I like the fact we're looking to be big and mobile.

Benji picks the team and he loves both Sukkar and Seyfarth
Yea, but it's slim pickings...

Which may be Benji deciding to ditch our former pack of "Stef/Papalii/Bateman/Klem" altogether. ok 3 of those players ditched us, even though we were pushing Bateman out.

Sukkar doesn't really have the size to be developed, but he definately has a stack of heart. If he can make it, great.

Seyfarth gets picked on a lot here. Yes he is making errors but he is doing a stack of work and IMHO isn't a starting prop. Best at 15/16 coming on when the other team is a little tired. We need to hire a workhorse because a baby Giraffe is better at crossing the line then being a Fulton/JT style workaholic prop.

Depth signing which is what we need behind Sam Fainu and KPP. Better NSW Cup player on an edge to what the magpies are fielding by a fair distance. Depending on future signings the likes of Seyfarth, Hunt, Bird, Sukkar, Geyer, Roberts give us quality for the Magpies and the bench.
