McIlwrick

I like him over Liddle from what I have seen so far.
Maca is a tough nut who loves mixing it up in the middle.
Played well today.

Has anyone noticed that in the last 3 games, after he goes off, our game goes backwards and by the time he returns its beyond recovery.

Like a mac truck in defence and those magical balls 1metre in front of the halves for them to run onto. He needed more gametime today. To not come back on till the 70th minute was wrong. He really locks up the middle for us.

Liddle looked like he needs a run in NSW Cup to get back into it.
He hadn't trialled or anything yet this year

Doing great. I think liddle is the future but nuture him. MM is doing great if he can play longer minutes leave him there but in saying that I know a lot of you don't like Ballin but I think once he is ready to go he and MM will be a really good rotation for our club

MM is very good but Liddle is real class. He needs a run or two but Liddle reminds me so much of Cameron Smith. Iam happy to play them together but a 80 minute no9 would help us carry another forward on the bench

He is very good but Liddle is good as well. I think we should play 2 dummy halves for the rest of the year.

but can he play 80 ?

This is the key. I think we need to play him for 80 & have 4 big boppers on the bench to punch holes in the opp. If we can't create 2nd phase play we've got nothing.

Well he's gone well the first 20 minutes of all 4 games only to be taken off and barely used again. So my guess is he cant play 80\. If he can then its been disgraceful use of the interchange.

Lost a bit of spark and direction when he went off today and was brought back on too late.
His service from dummy half and his straight running have been one of the few highlights so far this year.

Agree he's surprised me and he can keep the spot if he keeps playing that way.
Liddle on the other hand I'm not too excited about to be honest. His passing is dreadful, and I was expecting spark around the ruck to bring Teddy into the mix but there was nothing. All this talk of Liddle being quick out of dummy half and he displayed 0.

Needs more minutes…I'm sure he has it in him...looks like they are just using a structured interchange as to when to bring him off and put him back on ..not what is actually happening during a game...

Also wouldn't be writing Liddle of after a grand total of 2 half NRL games

McIlwick is good and defend solidly, his only Achilles so far is that he is not 80mins.

Match fitness was an issue for Liddle today. It showed but he didn't shy away and made plenty of tackles, good tackles too. I was at the game and I think he may have picked up a knock in one of the first few tackles he made and looked a bit shaken but he played on well and showed plenty of ticker.
