McKinnon vs. Brown vs. Moltzen

McKinnon for me. He's a stronger ball runner than the other 2 and he can hit a hole as good as anyone at the club. Moltz should be off the bench, at halfback or not in the side at all, it is stupid to put him at fullback where he is below average at best just to have him in the side, I'd rather have a proper fullback (as, you know, it's kind of an important position). Brown is a much safer player than Wade, but in the early season our attack will be a little rusty so I'd rather go with the guy who will score tries rather that the guy who will stop them. Brown is also a capable winger.

I'm leaning towards Brown. He was playing solid at the back at the end of last season and offers genuine pace which McKinnon clearly lacks, plus he brings the ball back at speed. I'd start McKinnon in the first half against the Roosters and put Brown there in the second half for another comparison between the two.

Not confident with Moltzen back there, he fails to put his body on the line in kick returns which means the Tigers never really start the set on the front foot.

Can't just trial Daniella in there when the other 3… and probably Ryan have been training there for pre-season.

I'm happy with any of the 3 choices to be honest. Each have their positives. I think Brown & McKinnon will both stop the leakage of points and bring the ball back with gusto. Having moltz there may jeopardize field position and create more errors, but I think we will offer much more in attack.

Sheens has a tricky choice.

Daniela will never play fullback unless Moltzen, Brown, Mckinnon, Mullaney, Meaney and Ryan are involved in some freak accident.
You're at better odds of seeing Gibbs at fullback than you are Daniela.

I prefer Brown, he's a long term prospect. But then not sure who plays wing…I do like the looks of Tagive though

Tagive, Latu, B.Ryyaaaaannn, Daniela … even maybe matt utai (though he isnt good under the high ball)...

Sean Meaney or Jake Mullaney or sign up Codei Towney mid season from wherever he's playing, Penrith?.

There's no way Towney will be coming back.

moltzen for me. offers more in attack then the other two. mckinnon has better support play but hes got way too many mistakes in his game plus he'l do his groin or hamstring at some point

Whilst I liked the way Brown played in the later part of last year, he looked strong and confident in defence and attack, and I would be very happy to have Moltzen in my team any day due to attack and combination with Benji, IMO Sheens will put McKinnon in first, he will get the benefit of the doubt despite the poor attempt at tackle on Hindmarsh last night unless he has another shocker against to roosters next week then Sheens might start to question his fitness for the first round.

All you nay-sayers, hypothetically speaking - how good would Daniela be @ FULLBACK.
Real mixed bunch of answers so far, more hard decisions.
Don't think McKinnon has much life left in his career, where as Brown is a young rising star.
I think Moltzen would be the go though, with him missing out on being the #7 cause Lui is better than him…. aw no

Mckinnons extremely poor attempt at tackling Hindmarsh really questioned me if sheens should keep him at fullback, although he may have better defence than Brown, but Brown really puts his body on the line and runs the ball fast and strong, i didnt like seeing him in another position last night, he seemed to be less confident and didnt handle the pressure of running the ball more often very well.

Browns job at fullback in the last few matches ESPECIALLY the prelim again st george was stunning and if he can play like that every game i think it would be hard to say no to putting him at fullback.

Lui at half is not a good choice because as any new comer would find, he probably tries to hard to not make any mistakes which puts more pressure on him because he is playing with the likes of B Marshall and such. Because Moltz has a stronger bond with Marshall and the rest, he can probably take the added pressure Lui has off his shoulders.

But hey, in the end its up to Sheens and i guess Shifty Sheens knows what best!

7\. Tim Moltzen soooooo

1\. McKinnon

:unamused: :brick:

coming from someone who rated Moors' effort yesterday as "great", the headbanging is a bit uncalled for.

 your right kul, ill put my hand up and say i was wrong about that…from where i was sitting i did think he had played a good game... but seeing the replay's and everyones opinion i was wrong...
... im only " headbanging " because everytime i see geo post its about moltz at #7  which is what i want but its just abit funny is all...

oh and btw... please dont qoute me as saying "great" when i never did...

Rule Number 1: Pick a good defender at 1\. Brown and Moltzen are poor defenders at 1 and continually get stuck in 'no mans land'.

While getting on in years, McKinnon can do it all. Defend; Attack; Support… Brown may get better if he gets a few months at Fullback for BRET, but that seems to be given to Leichhardts new favourite son... Jake Mullaney!

Dont' know about Mullaney (Hope your right)

Mckinnon is what we need this year - Stability at the back is vital. It gives the rest of the team confidence.

Brown for me was an astute signing and I'm on the record saying this at the tail end of 2009\. I believe he could be exceptional in the no 1 jersey. Next year at the earliest though.

Moltzen is a better option than Brown and pretty equal to McKInnon at fullback in my opinion, but he's better suited to halback.
My pick is Wade at fullback, Lui to start at halfback and Moltzen off the bench for at least the first few games while Tim gets back up to speed.. When he does, Lui is GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE.
Then maybe the shirt grabbing disease will leave with him.
