Can we just use his salary + the 100K we're meant to lose from moving to Leichhardt for the final round to re-sign Benj for one more year?

No.

It was never going to end well buying a 30 year old forward. Thanks for at least trying Chris but JT was a fool bringing you here at your age

He wouldn’t have been a bad pick up had he not broken his neck after we signed him

Before we signed him:astonished:

All the best to him, unfortunately the neck injury really put the brakes on the backend of his career and credit to him for keeping his head down and being professional about his situation.

Was after, while he was still at the Titans.

Can you take Reynolds with you

Does that mean we actually free up a little cap as he is leaving early

A little, but not much. Still every dollar in this situation helps no doubt.

Of course he was overpaid for what he brought to the club, similar to a handful of other players who are skewing our salary cap.

But McQueen is the one player in that bunch who I have no hard feelings towards for his performances. It takes a lot of courage to have come back at all after his neck surgery. I would be terrified of every single tackle if it was me. Good luck for England Chris, hopefully you can find some form over there and win some silverware.

Got to say I loved his take down of Matterson's non appearance at the players end of season celebration

Contract up at the end of the year anyway? Only 4 games left. Hardly worth an announcement..

He is worthy of some respect though. Good to announce it, shame he didnt take the opportunity last season.

Yeah I don't disagree with that. I guess it's just the timing that has made this a bit of a non event - like we're only 4 weeks out from the end of our season. Almost could have left it for a couple of weeks and just said the 2020 season will be McQueen's last at the Tigers. It's just a bit of a non event.. And I'd rather this announcement be about JR or the like haha.

Oh could you imagine the media smashing again if we didn't thank him for the huge 10 games he played.

Wasn't he off contract anyway? Unfortunately his money is probably already been associated elsewhere.

Need someone on contract for 2021 to go! I'm looking at you JR

McQueen had every right to negotiate the deal he got from the club. If we paid too much, that's entirely on us. Hope he goes well in his next club and that he stays healthy.

What a terrible ROI McQueen was, $450k a year for 10 first grade games across 3 seasons. Not his fault, he rode the WT gravy train. Hopefully we learn from these signings

Sad thing is that I would be surprised if that was indeed our worst.

A Games played with Zero effect ratio would be be heart breaking
