Membership dept is Crap!

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue to mine ,
We are a group of 10 existing members who have silver membership to LO, the reason we don't have gold is that we have membership to SFS / SCG trust members seats
We have been enjoying our seats for the last few years , when this year we were told by membership dept that our seats are now gold seats and if we want to keep these seats we need to update to gold membership or we loose our seats and relocate to the hill side of the ground
Gold seats for my family membership become like $880 instead of $380
I contacted membership and told them that I completely understood the decision to upgrade the area to gold seats , but as existing members shouldn't we be entitled to our seats and package as per the last 3 years and if we let our membership lapse or don't renew then We would have to go by the new seating arrangement
I thought this was only fair as we are existing members not new members , there response "under the terms and conditions we can change seating plans when we like ….... Bla bla bla"

The reality they don't care!

I wonder if any other clubs or even AFL clubs treat there members this way ?

Bulldogs changed their seating categories also this year for 2013\. Increased price also for the same seats probably to pay for Des and TRex.

You may be helping get rid of Sheens with your contribution
 
Wasnt long ago lots of now reserved seating was GA…..

Someone will be along soon to justify the club in doing this

My brother is a dragons supporter.
When they upgraded jubilee oval, he had his seats upgraded to gold & had to pay extra.
He chose the cheaper option & not as good seats.
 
Like smeghead said above it's a case of supply and demand and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Leichhardt Oval so badly needs an upgrade. The hill has history and all, but I'd rather there be a stand there. The current situation is that with GA access I have to to get to games 3 hours early so that I can sit in the sun and fend off everyone else. It is just not as fun as it used to be. The novelty has worn off for me and I am just not up for it anymore. I am a die hard but I want seats for my friends and family when I take them to a game, but I just can't afford that kind of membership - and the seats in the Latchem (or below) aren't available anyway!
Cambo is great and so is the SFS, but they are not the only grounds that contribute to the Tigers ticketing / membership system and pricing structure, which as a result is a bit of a joke.
I am a Balmain boy but I'd happily give up Leichhardt for a few years in order for it to be upgraded - and so that I can have a seated membership there in the future.
 
Can anyone point me in the direction of the maps showing the res. silver seating area at the SFS in the Claws pack.

Same thing happened to me at the end of 2010\. Had silver and needed to upgrade to gold to keep the same seats.

Now I sit on the hill side, aside from the lack of shelter they are good seats and I'm happy. Since they put the new seats on the hillside it's been much better at LO.

I will get on my wagon again this again shows that the club has to mature and play all our games at the SFS … Bad luck about tradition time to look after the greater supporter base . Pay good money for crap seats because there's no room or better still stand on a grass hill thought it was 2012 .. Weststigers looking after the future .

What they need to offer is a fixed sfs seating plus general LO or CSS entry member combo

Thyere milking LO for all they can get....silver now behind the posts?????
Thats a bit rich....leaves a bit of a sour taste when I feel like Im being ripped off going to the footy
Like paying for bottled water, never thought youd pay extra for sitting behind the posts.....

Sure , a club partly based in Campbelltown and you want all games in the middle of Souths and Easts territory..no thanks.
 
Good to see the club is able to sell more gold seats .seems like the membership team is doing a great job if that's the case. I agree Leichhardt should be upgraded in a perfect world but really who would bother spending the money on an old ground in a crap location. We only go thier 4 times a year
 
The map of Leichhardt looks a bit optimistic to me.

Does the club really think that that many people will upgrade to gold or silver packages this year.

What happens when half those seats around the outside aren't sold. Do we have the same situation like last year at the Roosters game where everyone is packed on the hill and there are a heap of empty seats there cause no one wants to pay the extra cash to sit there?
 
I find all the excuses that we are too big of a club now to be restricted to one area an absolute load of crap. I don't understand the argument at all. If you're a big enough club and you draw enough support the people will come to you. Theres no reason why we can't entrench ourselves in our traditional areas

I think some people think we are bigger then we really are. We're not Man Utd for crying out loud

That's insane. An extra $500????, just get Foxtel for 6 months…..no lining up for beer, dunny's or tucker, bugger them if they think that sort of price hike is acceptable ( I support my team but not the fatcats that run the place).
They wanna treat us like fools, then bugger them.

I tend to agree with you it's not as if they can justify the price hikes after the season we just had.
your better off upgrading your Foxtel or your T.V for that matter , if there doing well enough to justify paying that sought of money then go . I was a season ticket holder for 9 years before i moved out of Sydney and never encounted the troubles i'm hearing of fans these days .
The reality is in these times of Economic troubles people just can't afford it , for instance if i was to take my family to the footy and was still living in Sydney (family of 4 ) I'd be looking at $150.00 a fortnight easy, compared to $30 a fortnight at home and watching all NRL games live, and not committing myself to a season that we just had and come home pissed of all the time.
I go to 4 games a year Skilled Park , Suncorp Stadium (live on the Gold Coast) and fly to Sydney for 2 games , so i do my bit , and that already costs me a bit .
So i say do what you think is best . Your not any more or less of a supporter if you do either…

(Maybe I shouldn't have given them any ideas) :bulb:
