Membership Numbers

Does anyone know what the membership numbers for the Tigers. There has been updates for other clubs but not a word about the Tigers.

I read somewhere recently that it was 9,500 members. Didn't quite reach that 10,000 target!

Come on people, make it happen! :sign:

That's correct I was under the impression for the 2011 season WT had ~9500 members…Which is disappointing considering all the Hype around the year we were expecting to have...Given the financial uncertainty that exists in the current economy I think the club will find it hard to surpass the 2011 numbers in 2012...I have renewed my 3 memberships for 2012..

WT have over 65000 facebook fans.. If only a 3rd of them became mebers we will be no.1 in the NRL!

Spud the rebuilding the state comment is a bit harsh mate
Just think yourself lucky you don't have to deal with cyclones and the flooding that is attached to it

I'm a bit reluctant to renew for next year. Last season, with so many Monday and Friday night games, I think I only went to about 5 games even though my membership was for all 12\. It makes it very expensive unless you go to all the games. On the other hand, I like having the memberships. I wish the NRL did the whole draw like the AFL does.

Agreed Suzie… Travelling from Maroochydore, I'd love to have a full year schedule to plan in advance.

it may be a bit harsh happy but they didnt help rebuild newcastle after the quake or the mini squall that ripped the roof off my house and id prefer to keep my $50 a week oops sorry mods for gettin off the topic

Mate I can remember donating for the Newcastle earthquakes many years ago

Bit of a touchy subject my brothers house was one of the first houses to go under in Ipswich and probably went 4-5 metres under

They have only just started work on it literally in the last week

Back on subject we should be looking at 11-12000 members this year you would think after last season and with our key signings

soz happy didnt mean to offend and im booked in for a family memebership :sign:

I assume you guys are referring to the levy for the QLD floods. This levy was imposed because the Qld government did not insure their infrastructure claiming that the premiums were too high. As such all their roads and bridges etc were not covered by insurance and as such the rest of the country are subsidising the fact that they didn't insure.

It would not happen in NSW as the infrastructure is insured through a number of schemes. Happy that is dissapointing to hear that your brothers repair works are only just getting underway. I was heavily involved in the Toowoomba damage and the large majority have been paid out or had the work conducted. Are the repairs being done through insurance?

On topic of membership, I was dissapointed that the regional membership came with a family ticket in 2011, when it had previously come with 6 general aadmission tickets to a home game. I was hoping 2012 would be different but it is not.

Please stay on topic guys. I know the comments are meant to be light-hearted, but it is not appropriate.

My membership is dependent on what happens with the #7 jersey.
