A huge loss to the entire world. A great woman who grew up in extreme poverty, yet still understood that she had it so much better than kids of the black community that she couldn't swim or go to school with, and fought against it.
Beloved by most all, with her free book programs and vaccination promotion, particularly in the heat of covid disinformation, will have history hold her in very high regard.

Thank you for your advocacy, time and efforts @Suzie-Q It gave me an opportunity to help you enable Lifeline to assist a troubled person. Quite possibly saving a life.
Please click on the personal Lifeline associated fund-raiser link in her post #1166 above if you are in a position to help, as you can donate whatever amount that you may choose, and a good few that read this can afford the $39 needed to help an individual.
Edit; I just checked and note that she has currently raised more than half of her $390 goal to help ten people, and ask for our fellow WT supporters and forum members assistance to reach it.

Great stuff Suzie !! People don't commit suicide because they want to die, they can just no longer bear the pain.

Great effort Suzie, you have the biggest heart. Walking 9km in 2 degree temperature for a wonderful cause deserves supporting.

No, thank you for being the conduit and raising awareness, particularly as years back I attended a Lifeline funded/supported Safe Talk suicide prevention course to help keep our son and others alive, which has proven invaluable.
