Message of Support for Taylor

I want to support Taylor because it can be a pretty lonely place when you are working towards a plan and there are supposed supporters trying to tear you down. I don't want to sack everyone when we have a few losses like some on here.

Look at what chopping and changing has done for Parra.

Let him see out his contract and judge him then. It is very early days of a totally new regime i think he needs time and support. If you don't agree with me i don't care, i don't agree with you guys carrying on wanting to sack everyone everytime we lose a few games.

"Genuine" and "supposed" were very poor choices to use Larry. I usually get frustrated with what I see as shortsightedness, when others vent about things after a loss as well, but this has been brewing for some time.

The dressing room faces showed the players aren't enjoying it either.

I too have not been happy since the early rounds when it was already obvious that the youngsters, particularly Moses were being shackled. Like many others, I am simply not enjoying watching our side (result is secondary for me) and that is a real problem for the club.

Writing an email, sucking up to the coach calling him boss doesn't make you more genuine than the rest of us.

He is the boss of the team. I'm not sucking up….Just my way of saying stick to your plans and not to listen to noise from supporters who get upset after a tough loss.

I didn't mean to say I am anymore genuine a supporter than anyone else. Some of us have different ways of reacting to a loss. Its frustrating but he is consistent in what he says.

He has only been in the job 6 months....he said he is focusing on defence. Last year we finished dead last in defence (worst in the comp). After 10 rounds we have moved up 6 positions. I would call this progress.

Win/lose/draw, I suspect we'll all be here in 12 months time still supporting the team.

I don't care if i've offended anyone.

I want the coach to be given time…..you want to criticise him when you know bugger all about what is going on, its up to you. I have stated my position. I want the coach to be given time to implement his plans and will support him through the process.

If its still the same after he ends his contract no improvement then i certainly won't be supporting his reappointment. But he needs time and you guys are overreacting to a few tough losses.

Your entitled to your opinion Larrycorowa,if JT keeps going the way he is,he won't see out his contract…
As far as knowing bugger all about what's going on,when I played we won by scoring points, and we defended untill we couldn't stand to prevent teams scoring points..that's a mix of attack and defence, all I've seen is defence and the opposition is still mounting points up against us,and we are not winning..the only way we will get a winning culture in our club is by winning games not losing them...that's why JT has to step up the attack in this team and as you know,we have a heap of attacking players waiting to cut loose...

Why is that? What pearls of wisdom do you have that is going to help this team move forward? Please share you fountain of knowledge with us all. Who is your team and how can you make it better?

We can have the best defence in the comp, Larry, but if we end up coming last because we can't score any points, then I wouldn't call that progress!

Droopy, this is a forum, the point of which is to share our opinions. If you don't want to here what i say, don't chance coming on here.

I'm a big boy. These were the same guys bagging Sheens for chopping and changing, playing players out of position, letting the players run the club, being mentally weak and paper thin defensively, playing recklessly and not being accountable.

As soon as we have a coach who wants to change a culture that so many have lambasted on here…..at the first sign of trouble they want to change tack.

You think you can judge the mood of the dressing room by a looking a a few faces on TV? I don't know anymore than you guys but many here are making some big calls based on last night's performance. We really don't know what's going on and the guy in the best position to judge where we are at atm is Taylor and I want to give him my support and time. I don't like the alternatives.....

Were you at the game last night?

No one called for Sheens to play 5 hits ups and a bomb. It is all about balance, the good teams and coaches find it.

Taylor has taken the right stance but taken it a mile too far and lost balance. He has stopped us playing any football and now the players look like robots who are not enjoying their football. Hence all their confidence is shot.

His quotes last night were a bit pathetic really, saying we are achieving the 1 goal we set for the season. If that is the case maybe he should become the defensive cordinator alone.

You would have a point if the team was sitting pretty and the fans were complaining. However the team is in a position to have a really bad season, and are looking worse every single week they take the field.

I am not calling for his head far from it yet. However he needs a reality check if he thinks that 5 one out runs and a bomb all night is the plan for the future.

It was painful and ugly but JT is working to a plan to change the culture of this team in a bid for a sustained period of success around our youngsters. He is in the early stages of a two-year contract and is trying to teach these kids how to play a hard, tough brand of winning football. He has more to lose than anyone here if he doesn't succeed. He deserves our support.

This is a message i sent him this morning.

"People are pretty disappointed after last night's effort and don't quite understand what you are trying to do.

It's going to get hard the next few weeks until Farah and Co. get back. Hang in there boss. You have the support of all the genuine fans. Most are just impatient for success after years of frustration.

Don't doubt yourself, don't stray from the path, keep working hard and teach these kids the right way to play. No shortcuts!!!"

Out of interest Larry, did The Boss write back?

One of the important features of a good plan is a willingness to be flexible when adjustment is needed, a poor plan is one with blinkers.

This is what makes life interesting we all have our views that are wide and varied ..we all do not have to see eye to eye..it is good to have an open forum to debate and vent and hopefully feel a bit better with people of the same tribe..

No, I wasn't at the game last night, but watched it. I live on the north coast of NSW and get to as many games as I can.

Yes, JT (some people here are not happy with the term boss being applied to Taylor) did write back.

I dare say he has a few adjustments he will make to the plan he is working towards as the season progresses. But as Mike Tyson said 'everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face'.

And i'm sure he'll keep you apprized of the decisions he makes. And i like how you mentioned the fact you told him not to worry about disgruntled supporters, like it would be affecting him.

Not a bad point by Tyson although I reckon he got that from someone else. I go to most games Larry and it is becoming tough to do that with the way our team is playing (and being coached) in fact I feel very much like we are on the canvas now.

Why get personal? I support him, you don't….i can handle that.

He is our current coach and i will support him until he finishes his contract. After that i will support the coach that our board decides to give the next contract to.

If you don't think he is going to care what our supporters think, why would you worry about what i sent him?
