Raiders forward Adam Elliot will be off to the knights next year on a ballistic upgrade.

Pascoe considered by some players in the NRL as too corporate ( that shocked me too), needs to tone down his business language in front of players.

I suppose this means that a couple of grunts here and there should be enough for most front rowers for negotiations and the offer of a hairbrush to the backline should suffice.

Depending on the structure of the club, yep. Sheens managed all that when he was head coach. A large number of head coaches too, other clubs that have someone like Sheens/Gould in place let them do it and the coach just coaches.

The team coaches work with the players on a day to day basis honing the skills, but the HC/Football Director manages the longer term succession planning, when players move up through the grades and in what positions they should be playing.

seems that some are at the stage that they will complain about anything and everything the clubs decides.

as for Inheriting a bad side , 90% of the coaches get the gig because a club is going bad ..only select few get them in good health.

I'm not outraged....
But plenty of players have improved under Madge...

Sheens may have managed it - But his results were poor more often than not...
He did what no one thought possible sure....

But he also did a whole lot of not much as well.

The team also got worse...
Hadn't replaced Benji, Farah, Harry, Matterson, Aloiai...
The team we have now isn't as strong as the team we had in 2019 or 2020.

Yes, I’m afraid it is impossible to sustain any position to the contrary.

But it was still great to see Packer sort him out.

He’s never been the same.

Did we really pay Madge $800k to leave NOW???
My guess is the KPIs in his current 2 year contract wld never have been achieved(top 8 minimum),and we cld have canned him at the end of this year for not very much if anything??
The sole reason why we did what we did mid season(and incur that $$) is surely to lock in the next coach(probably Ciraldo)..
Maths just dont make sense..but of course it is the WTs!!
