Really pleased with the appointment, with one reservation. The central parting has **got** to go!

LOL…I predict be the end of his two years it'll be about 7cm wide.

Great news, excited.

Not too sure of what to make of his first decision already being made for him though....I wonder who decided aon what the pre season training plan is?

Logic tells me it should Be Stevie G. He did the majority of planning of pre-season while at Penrith so it would be the logical choice. Though not sure what his role with the Greek national team may have done to prevent that

Congratulations Mick, it was your destiny! I look forward to next season and seeing what you can do with the team. I'm really looking forward to seeing how players like Lawrence, Marshall and Farah perform under the guidance of a new and, by all accounts, very astute coach. Good times…I hope

I guess, seeing as how they didn't know exactly how long the recruitment process was going to take, they had to have at least some plans for the pre season already in place. If he didn't like them, I'm sure he could make whatever changes were required.

Now what are we all going to [This word has been automatically removed] about?

Finally commonsense has prevailed and the board ratify a well credentialed coach, will he now be referred to as Michael as calling him Mick just doesn't seem right.

Time to move on from the train wreck that was season 2012 and look forward to 2013!

However I hope we can be patient and not expect miracles to begin with. There's a lot of work to do but IMO I think we've made the right choice in appointing Potter. From what I've read he's got great credentials and he is the man to take us up a few notches.

Only one piece of the puzzle still concerns me… Will Robbie re-sign?

Either way welcome to the jungle Mick!

Congratulations Mick. I am sure that the team will take to you as enthusiatically as the West Tigers supporters already have. Also a bit of advice to Robbie Farah and Benji Marshall and I hope they accept it in the best possible way; Mick is running the coaching part of the club. Your jobs are to accept and carry out his decisions on the field. By doing so you will ensure strong team spitit and good will throughout the club. The club will then be on its way to claining the 2013 premiership flag. All the best to the coach, administration and players.

Where is Sheens going to fit into the picture, or is he leaving?

They want to create a new junior development co-ordinator position for him..
Wether he accepts, and if he doesnt will someone else do it?
Im sure they hope like the rest of us he just boots off

Sheens was always obsessed with having a top man at halfback.

One of his interviews, at the end he said he will put the team first anyday (ahead of Benji and Farah) me likey!

If potter can make the tough the decisions( like dropping under performers and picking players in position) and break - up the boys club that's going on it will be successful coaching job. I think he is the best man for the job so best of luck to him.

I heard Potter interviewed tonight on 2UE and he said something that was music to my ears and confirms to my mind Potter will be a successful at the WT. Brandy asked Potter about the halves and fullback positions and how in 2012 WT tried a number of players at 7 without success…Potter replied by saying he watched the NYC GF and he thought Jacob Miller was a star and that "I want Jacob to stay at this club"...to me that's the biggest endorsement Jacob could receive from a Day 1 coach...I hope Potter gives Miller a good shake of the #7...
