I think it is pathetic the amount of crap Farah is getting in here.

We would have won about 4 games without him this year. Potter should be thankful because without him he looked disgustingly bad even early in the season.

The club has 100 bigger problems then the captain, and our most consistently performing player.

Lets make Farah the scap goat though fo why we are a basket case. Id rather he be furious he are so bad then be happy and eat money like Lawrence, Galloway, Moltzen, Blair etc.

Yeah lets get rid of Robbie and watch us win the comp. Please! He should have left a few years ago but he is too loyal. Farah is a winner, and has a winners mentality. I know he is far from perfect but i dont blame him for the state this club is in.

Robbie needs to learn to be a winner off the field. You can try as hard as you like on the field if your teammates think your captain is a two faced troublemaker good luck with your dreams of winning.Loyal as in 4.5 million for 5 years aswell as a self declared allowance to hire and fire coaches as he pleases. No that aint loyalty pal.**But your loyalty to Robbie to the detriment of Wests Tigers is duly noted.**

Who are you going to tell, his mother?
Or maybe your good buddy , Mayer?
Now you are taking note of those who have the temerity to disagree with you?
In all your ranting and raving and finger pointing you haven't come up with a single fact that Farah pushed Potter or did anything else you are accusing him of - for that matter none of the others carrying pitchforks have either.
Could you kindly name the players who think he's a two faced troublemaker?
He may well have a big head and be demanding - just like 90% of the high profile players I have met over the years but his passion for the club can't be questioned.
Loyalty for Robbie at the detriment of the Tigers?
Haven't you bashed Farah enough ,Jerry? :deadhorse:

Robbie put himself in it and has no one else to blame for his actions his paid $900k to play and to lead the team not rubbish the coach and team members. Passion aside he need to know when to speak and when not to and to choose who he speaks to very carefully… Just because he didn't get his way for two years doesn't mean he has to act like a child when the truth comes out and run when the team need him most.

You're telling me that you never air out frustrations of your boss to a mate and expect them to keep it secret? Because that's where this drama came from. Him putting trust in the wrong friend. A simple mistake.
As for the running bit, no matter what he said or what he could have said, people would have attacked him. It's how the media works. I highly doubt that even if he said 'I love mick potter he's the greatest coach I've ever had' people would accept it. They'd still see something wrong with his body language or something.

We all feel for mp but the Farah bashing is a bit sad but each to your own opinions that's fine but here is a fact potters win percentage 31% FACT now imo that is not good enough his team selection of
2nd rowers on the wings letting go 2 genuine wingers mid season is farcical please don't blame our injuries Penrith were hit just as bad as we were mick may be a nice bloke but I would bet my balls that if he was at another club with that % he would be shown the door quick smart

_Posted using RoarFEED V.4_

IF HE WAS AT ANY OTHER CLUB HE WOULDNT HAVE THE CLUB CAPTAIN BACKSTABBING HIS EVERY MOVE AND ESCAPING CAPTAINS INTERVIEWS BURROWING LIKE A RAT UNDER A FENCE TO GET INTO A WAITING SUBARU EITHER.CAPS SORRY.

So tell me your proof that it was Farah I was on the understanding that it was Payton that had been backstabbing potter all year hence why he isn't getting an interview for the top job the end

There's a time and a place for everything and as a public figure you don't talk to media as there is no such thing as mates when it comes to money. Body language aside dump his ass into NSW cup he belongs to the club the club doesn't belong to him.. If only potter had full control the story would be so different if you think the guy even had a say in the weekly team he fielded then think again. One wise man told me there is always someone better no one is irreplaceable…

It is public knowledge Farah pushed potter(whilst Potter wasnt watching)Robbie said so himself on the interview with gus.You sit there saying who will I tell his mother etc.Dont you think thats a little immature(especially considering you are accusing me of ranting and raving)You know where this comes from?Or ranting or raving as you put it?Passion pal and plenty of it for My Wests Tigers and I aint going to see this club go under while some would rather bury there heads in the sand and blame the fireman instead of the arsonist.Mayer didnt get rid of Sheens and Benji didnt get rid of potter did they?My good buddy Mayer?I have never met the bloke. But I for one am absolutely loving the change that he is bringing to this club regarding new board structure and independent reviews etc. This club needs a big kick up the ass and Mayer is doing exactly what is needed so anyone who dreams of whiteanting this club from within can rack off.

I'm not saying that Farah should be gone all I'm saying is that Farah should be accountable as well for our results. I just think he needs to be brought back down to earth and to be told that the club owns him and to do what he is payed todo (PLAY)

A hobbled Lawrence being picked at centre every week this seasondid not have anything to do with our bad season?. Take the blinkers off and be honest. I know what many will say "We didn't have any centre replacements" This however is a very weak excuse - the coach at no time tried to encourage the club to buy a centre with some semblance of ability. The best he could come up with was Lulia. This is where we the team became a crocker - playing crocks week in and week out. The opposition teams knew it and took full advantage. Like the saying goes, you make the bed, you have to sleep in it.

This thread is about potter on the Sunday footy show right? But has been taken over by Robbie Farah. To me this is art is imitating life at its best. And as I said all pointing back to farah yet again…

The last 6 weeks of the season has pretty much cemented why he should never be the captain of this club again. He needs work on his mental strength and then start leading on the field like senior players within other organisations do,

Absolutely.

Our only player selected in NSW team is a center
And than we have Lawrence as a member of 'boys club', a secret cow that could not be touched, regardless of the fact he had only 2-3 solid games in the last 3-4 years, our 2nd best paid player, please :frowning:
Perhaps one of the things MP was not allowed to change ;(

Go Tigers :sign:

Tigers sacked me three months ago: Potter

Axed Wests Tigers coach Mick Potter has revealed he felt like a dead man walking during the final three months of his tenure with the NRL joint venture.

Potter was told on Wednesday by Tigers chief executive Grant Mayer that his two-year contract at the club would not be renewed, bringing to an end the former star fullback's tumultuous reign with the Tigers. But the former Catalans, St Helens and Bradford mentor said on Channel Nine's Footy Show that he knew his cards were marked when speculation of his continued role with Wests come to a head before their round-20 loss to St George Illawarra in late July.

The week before the Tigers looked set for a finals berth after thrashing Canterbury 46-18, but things went down hill on the morning of the Dragons game when news broke of a board meeting that night that could decide Potter's future. Brisbane great and media personality Gorden Tallis then went to radio to claim that Tigers captain Robbie Farah told him that Potter "couldn't coach" and was one of the driving forces behind a move to oust him. The Tigers lost 28-12 to the Dragons and then dropped their next five games to fall out of finals contention.

Potter confronted Farah over the claims pre-game and said he knew from then on the writing was on the wall. "I knew where they were heading probably three months ago and I am just disappointed it has ended this way," Potter said. "I understand how and why but (feeling) anger is not something that is high on the list."

Potter said he doubted a finals spot would have saved his job. "I don't know. I honestly don't know where they were heading with that, whether it would have made any difference," he said.

When asked about the nature of his relationship with Farah now, the former Canterbury, St George and Western Reds No.1 chose his words carefully. "We are okay on the surface. He is just passionate about the club and he wants the best for the organisation all the time," Potter said. "He does let his emotions get the best of him some of the time.
"We certainly had our issues during the year and I have addressed them as best as I can.

"But it wasn't about trying to please Robbie. It was about trying to get the best out of the team all the time. "Sometimes it doesn't rub too well with him."

Potter said he felt he hadn't been given enough support and authority to do the job he wanted to do, but had confidence in the new Tigers board, headed up by media executive Marina Go. "I'm pretty confident that the new board they have appointed is really going to make a massive step forward for the organisation," he said. "I'm really happy that it is in place and I think there is a group of people there that is going to take the business forward."

Dumped Brisbane coach Anthony Griffin is the frontrunner to succeed Potter in a group that includes Nathan Brown, Jason Taylor, Matt Parish and Potter's former assistants David Kidwell and Todd Payten

Says it all really.Hopefully Farah now puts more passion into winning football games and more passion into supporting his "mates" around him.

Wests Tigers have things arse up

Robbie gets what he wants when he wants how he wants….

Potter got nothing but grief from within the house and the sheds which Robbie no doubt was in charge of... :master: :master:

Meh. For all the Farah-bashing here, I got a totally different impression of this interview. He clearly stated his problems with Robbie, but his real complaint was not having the support to make the decisions he felt needed to be made. I felt he was laying the blame at the feet of Mayer and the board, and the big change he wanted to make was his assistant coaches.

I posted earlier a thread that was my opinion and thoughts some may think it is Farrah bashing some may not.I will state however that over the years Robbie has got what Robbie wanted.

Having said that,if you employ a coach should he not be afforded the staff and whatever is needed to do his job to the fullest capacity and the ultimate goal to get the team the best result possible. Potter not getting appropriate staff of his chose and being white anted by whoever within is not letting him work to the fullest capacity, therefore the result is where we finished this year. The big wins earlier with a fully fit side are the result of good coaching under extreme circumstances….credit where it's due...

Again on the footy show the man showed his integrity and dignity...
