Mick Potter - That was horrible

I really have concerns over next year. We're cleaning out the ranks but replacing them with no one.

I said when he got the job that I would be worried that our board would become Parramattaesque and not give him the time to actually turn the rabble into a good club and it's looking like it's heading that way. I'm not sure exactly what Potter is supposed to have done here when he has a record injury toll, dysfunctional board and senior players that don't want to tackle.

While I agree with that, he should at least have the young blokes improving. Big Ben has looked excellent the past few weeks and yet Potter gives hacks like Anasta and Thompson all the game time. Lawrence is done and a center, yet Potter won't move him. Potter has already said Braith is next years 6.

Any team with Braith Anasta at 6 in 2014 will not get near the finals. Potter needs to be much more aggressive and innovative.

BMM is only looking good because Potter has discovered how to get 100% effectiveness out of him (he can only play when the game slows right down).

As for the others, we aren't allowed to drop them, literally. :brick:

For the first in 60 years being a tiger i am pissed off with this mob, give potter some slack . players leaving are not putting in and letting the side down i hope there is some way of dropping these guys. I've said before and it shows again today we are getting killed by a good half back.

Press conference on now. Potter looks absolutely defeated. Body language is very, very bad. Looks like a complete misfit at this level, sadly. Talking aboutt not knowing what the penalties were for and 50-50 decisions. Absolutely lifeless. The other team needed to win more that us he said. Ummm, mate, that is your job.

Why all of a sudden is an old and out of sorts Anasta playing in the halves? after playing bench backrower most the season?

Why is Ayshford playing first grade, when he asked for a relase and has been horrible all year?

Why is the side completely unmotivated?? Even Farah looks jack of it all.

WHy is the defense getting even worse??

Sheens created all this mess i know.

However I thought i would see little improvements as the year went on. However questions at least now must be raised about Potter's ability to select and motivate. Which is a worry.

Sheens didn't create this mess. He created a different one but for the most part the side played for him. Don't forget we won seven in a row last year. It seems clear to me that Potter has failed to earn the respect of his players. You can see in every press conference that Potter's relationship with Farah/Marshall/Fulton is dreadful.

@ROYCE
Sounds fair enough but feel free to continue death riding him if it makes you feel better. How is he accountable for that performance at all? I was saying it all game long I had no idea what the refs were blowing the whistle about, the Titans DID get all the 50/50s and they DID need to win more than us. If in round 20, 2014 we are putting in performances like that then we can question him. After 20 rounds, a record injury toll and a bunch of players playing like busteds (THE MAJORITY OF WHOM HAVE BEEN SHOWN THE DOOR) he is not who to point the finger at.

yes he needs time, but i don't think he is the long term man for the job.
if it wasn't for injuries, would nofo and simona have get a promotion.the people in front of them had been crap for 2 months.

selects bodene as a starter after being out of the game for 10 months and shows zero workrate during the trials.with the season almost over nothing has changed.

i have no faith in the board to find a suitable replacement so save the money and let him see out his contract.
a pretty sad way to look at it,but it is what it is.

The fact that all the dead wood have been tapped on the shoulder and told look elsewhere is killing us.No one can motivate these players and Potters hands are tied till next year and players on the outer like Marshall, Ayshford, , Anasta and Lawrence know this and blind Freddy can see this when we play.

The second tier cap has strangled us with no other options but to use the players we have its going to be a painful 5 weeks.

Keep the cleanout going Mick Potter.

Cut more dead wood

I can handle another season of pain if it means we get rid of all the sooks, malcontents and oxygen thieves we are currently paying

The only person I would be happy with replacing him would be Payten, and Payten shouldn't be coaching this side until there is nobody left that he played with in the side.

Sheens created a big mess. With the way Heightington and Ryan were shown the door we were always in for a lean 2013\. The way Sheens recruited the past 3 years has been horrible. He bought back SImmons as well as defensive coach. That is a big mess.

However i conceed I am starting to really worry about Potter's relationship with the squad. At the end of the day he has to motivate them. As hard as that might be he is failing right now. Todays performance was an embarrassment to the club.

Its going to be a very slow process. Makes me laugh when i think back to February when people had us down as premiership contenders after we smacked Parra in a trial. Anyway, i don't know why people are THAT surprised we are where we are on the ladder. It was always on the cards.

Long term, we have a hell of lot more going for us than a team like Parra. We have good juniors coming through. Not all of them will make it, but there should be enough of them to improve us.

I don't recall anyone saying we were premiership contenders.

Yes he is doing well with that. However he must wake up the fact that playing some of these guys might cost him his job before he gets a chance with a new side. His selections the past 2 weeks have been awful.

Unless he gets admin backing to cop the fine I think his hands are tied

Our forwards dogged it today against a very average team ,potter never dropped the pill potter never gave away 3 strips.,potter never missed tackles … On ya bike Benji we don't need you anymore .with Farah off we had no direction at all .lawrence isn't a first grader anymore.gold coast is a crap side with no direction ,yet we are poorer.stop blaming potter , and let him clean out the entire coaching staff and bring in some guys who will help him bring out the best in the guys who are left

Man I'm pretty sure this mind boggling second tier salary cap joke is actually preventing us from dropping non performers right now.

Correct which is a shame, we need to get some enthusiasm into the group, aysh and Lawrence are shocking, Anasta has nothing, benji.. Well need I really comment?. Siro needs to go into #12.. Can't wait to see our full squad for next year runnin round fit. What will piss me right off is the latest tiger sharks killin it. As far as the potter baggers, how bout we just give him a chance at forming his own side and coaching from the front, I for one think he'll make the nay sayers eat their words next year.

What makes you think Potter will be there to sack?

It would not surprise me in the least if he told the board and players to shove the whole thing up their a@@@ after yet another pathetic showing with no heart.

Is anyone in control of this sh@@ house club? Does anyone give a rats about the fans and the sponsors?

I'm so glad I did not renew my membership this year. This mob of tools, with very few exceptions, does not deserve one cent of my money.

If someone does not change this soon and show some heart, I will seriously consider throwing my love and history of support for this club into the filing cabinet and do something else on the weekends!
