I can't see any value in picking him up at this stage. The only reason you would even think about it would be if Dragons are picking up most of the contract like we are with half the Sharks pack.

that would make us very young up front imo: with woods, gavet, buchanan, ava and even sue all under 25 with less than 50 games.

at least a prop like weyman or hunt would add experience even if it's off the field (re his injuries) to our pack

That does include his first 3 seasons as a fringe player, playing 4 games a year.

85 games in his four and a half years at saints aint that bad.

This suggests one of two things, either Blair is going, or he will be used at lock next year.

If Blair is leaving i see Weyman as a nice replacemant actually. Gives us 3 experienced rep quality front rowers with 3 young promising ones in Buchanan, Taupau and Ava.

Gavet and Sue are backrowers IMO.

I don't like the idea of Weyman to be honest. He's been around awhile and isn't getting any better, plus he's had some serious groin issues which have kept him sidelined a bit over the last couple of years. I'd rather give Nathan Brown a go who is built in a similar mould.

Injuries have hit Weyman hard and he's getting on in age. I don't think he would be the best buy.

Age doesn't matter. All our young forwards are performing very well.

Next year will be JDB's third year in grade, so he's got a bit of footy behind him
