MITCH BROWN SEARCHES FOR QUALITY ROLE

Sheens wants a ball playing no1 like Hogo and thats why I think Moltzen will get the gig. Of course this could all change if he opts for Moltzen as the no7 but really cant see that happening. At the back end of last year we actually had some attack coming out of our no1 and that has been missing since Hogo departed. In a funny way Browns strengths are Moltzen weakness and visa versa

Just thinking about it more, probably a lot has to do with how Lote bounces back - 2011 was a writte off for him, if the body doesn't hold up I reckon Mitch's time will come.

I think even if Lote doesnt regain his 2010 form i reckon Sheens would carry him all year and not drop him. So heres hoping Tuqiri will fire

How do we even know Brown can/cannot ball play? Mckinnon couldn't really ball play and was a good fullback for us, and kept Moltzen in the centres.

Give him an offseason running off Marshall plays, and Brown would be a frickin monster fullback.

I'm not sure Helmsey… I think that we probably have better options on the wing in Grant and Utai.

Utai on the wing again? No thanks. Strong and hard to tackle yes, but way too slow to cut it out on the wing and a liability in defence and under the high ball. If Lote or Beau break down, Brown gets first crack followed by Grant IMO.

imo I reckon we will start the year with…

1\. Grant
2\. Ryan
5\. Tuqiri
7\. Moltzen

14\. Reddy

it sure goes to show there's plenty of depth there with guys like Mitch, Humble, Utai etc. waiting in the wings.

Our back 5 really is spoilt for choice in terms of suitable players.

Moltzen
Grant
Ryan
Tuqiri
Lawrence
Reddy
Ayshford
Utai
Brown

9 into 5 just doesn't go.

I haven't even considered any of the U20's players yet.

Same can be said about the forwards

Heighno
Fulton
Reddy
Blair
Ellis
Galloway
Woods
Groat
Bell
BMM

Bring on 2012

A lot of people have Grant inked in for round 1 either as the no1 or on the wing, IMO absolutely a million to one, Sheens has already been quoted as saying he will not be rushed. Really cant see a player going from Shute shield to a starting NRL gig with only one off season under his belt. Even if he scores a bucket of meat pies in the warm up games still dont think it will happen. Of course this is just my opinion
