Mitch Moses profanity

To all you numpties, if you do not want to hear swearing, don't go to the footy!!

Genius post

You don't swear AT A REF, especially the way Moses did. This isn't being pedantic at all - sure it wasn't a big deal, but it could so easily be in first grade.

But obviously you're missing the point. Numpty.

swearing doesn't bother me at all, but Moses need to curb is behavior and talking like that to an official does you know favors.
it is good practice to be disciplined in all areas of your game moses showed a lack of it abusing a touch judge

I wish he'd put the same amount of effort into becoming a better defender as he does his swearing

He could be the next Axe or Cement if he did

As a 20 year old, swearing; and that word especially is a pretty common part of our vocabulary. Being amongst a physical game of footy certain ups the swear count aswell.

personally, I think it would have just been a slip of the tongue as its something he would use so often. So I have no problem at all with it. But plenty of others will, and an official isnt someone you want to say it to.

Basically, I doubt there would have been any intent on being derogatory when he said it. But he'll land himself in trouble again if he has 'slips of the tongue' too often.

I agree with smeg, the kid is a bit of a brat, it's clear as day to see when he's playing. The total opposite of Brooks.

You're special Moh. Do you honestly believe that he called the ref a c…? Swearing at officials is an instant dismissal so maybe you should get your facts straight champ as he wasn't even spoken to by the ref or touchie. If only we were all as perfect as some of you blokes on this site!!!!

Alex, the kid is 19 & has a bit of attitude. Cut him some slack mate. It can be a good thing to have & I'm sure he will learn a few lessons along the way…as we all have through experience.

Having played touch footy for a number of years with a few teams, and a variety of people (age, experience, skill level etc), the one thing I cannot stand in a player no matter who he or she is, is when they give it to a team mate. Coach them along, give them tips, work together as a team, but if you go about putting your team mates down you will lose friends very quickly.

Moses will get a target on his head from officials (like a few players in the NRL claim to have), and will have a whole bunch of people who wont enjoy and playing with him.

Alex, I tend to agree with you on that point. Constructive criticism is always better destructive criticism. However, in saying this, you learn very quickly at the elite level you have to toughen up & get on with it. If you go & sook in the corner because your teammate had a go at you, you will not survive very long. As I said, Mitch is at senior level now & I am sure with some guidance & maturity he will learn new lessons every day.

Yes he swore, but no it was most definitely not directed at the touchie. Moses saw a knock on, looked at the touchie and said 'knock on, knock on' or something similar, and then turned to the player patting him on the back saying "yeah, knocked on you C#$%" i think. It was more of a 'spirited congratulations' to an opponent than anything else.

As was mentioned above, if he had swore directly to the touchie from 2m away he would have been in trouble.

But he's not playing kids comps anymore, games will be televised and he needs to be aware that his language could be caught on camera and he could face suspensions (like he did from the u20 Origin match).

Both Brooks and Moses are fierce competitors, and will do almost whatever it takes to win. You could say the same about players like Billy Slater.

It looks like his mouth is becoming a regular feature of his public performances. I'm no shrinking violet, but as a public figure it is something he will need to be more mindful of.

Atleast he is has learnt not to target one group , he targets us all now lol.

I reckon this kid is going to be something , I bagged his outburst against the maroons but he did have a fine game , that's why I was dissapointed with it all. I agree he has some fire like his uncle Benny who was voted enemy no1( SOO ) today by Crash Craddock. No mikes up your clacker in those days , so might be a family thing lol.

I rate him and when we win a premiership all will be forgiven. By the way ! Mitchell was going off before he even played 20 minutes , he has the fire but the scrutiny is all on him at the moment.

Having said all that he had another fine game against a big pack who targeted him and I suppose he was tired and sore.I'm willing to let this one go through to the keeper , we keep pressuring him he might spit it and we lose a promising player of the future.

When he and Brooks combine they are a force , I think he might be or mightn't be a little annoyed inside , that Luke has got there , that they were and have always been together , just a thought. Lame I know but society is different these days.

Atleast when we left school with our abacus we didn't get harassed unless we walked past a kosher shop , and bullies didn't bother you on the house phone , we got a break and life was easier and uninvasive.

He's got an ego/brat eh?

Cool…people said the same of Farah at his age

100% agree. This kid has something and I am glad he gets fired up. He will learn to control/direct it in the right way in time. I still think we should have appealed the two week ban, worse stuff gets said in the NRL every week.

I am very confident Moses and Brooks will be the best NRL halves combination within 2 years.
