Cleary addresses media at airport

Wed 17th May, 03:00PM

Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary spoke to the media at Sydney Airport today ahead of the team's Round 11 clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

See what Cleary had to say in full about the departure of Mitchell Moses and the timeline of that, as well as the inclusion of Aaron Woods for Friday's big match in the video above!

Very interesting ...Kent Ritchie and Buzz take note...agenda's

Ivan keeps saying "be the player others want to play with". After hearing his interview, who wouldn't want to play under him? (excluding our big 3 of course). Just sounds like a genuinely honest bloke.

Anyone read the article about parramattas forwards are going to bodyguard moses? Ummm whos going to bodyguard them if thsts the case? (48-10roosters) 😂😂😂

Just as an aside, Moses leaving the Wests Tigers and joining Parra might set a bit of a record:

He becomes the first NRL player to play the same opposition team 4 times in a single regular season.
He faces the Rabbitohs 4 times this year.

Interesting stat. There wouldn't be many to do that. I think Tigers played Cowboys 4 times in 2005 perhaps a few there played all 4 (2 reg season, 1 semi 1 gf). Hard to think it would ever happen in normal comp rounds though.

He is probably also the 1st bloke to play for 4 different clubs in the space of 5 weeks. By the end of this weekend the germ will have played for WT, Parra, Cronulla and Souths….............

Some would argue he has already played for Parra in the last 4 weeks.

Ask uncle Benny…?

Just watched the Replay of 360.

What an absolute grub of an Uncle Moses has…..offers nothing but excuses . I'm pissed of that Kent and Ikin didn't get stuck him to him more .

O.K lets try and look at the B.S that Elias tried to use as excuses.......

1\. Elias says " the start of the finish was when he was told he was not a priority to be re-signed " , what a load of bollocks why didn't Kent or Ikin tell him how long his had a Contract sitting there waiting to be signed and the Club waited , waited and waited , how is that not an indication of a priority ?
2\. So Moses got told he isn't a Priority which is the right thing to do so his Manager can investigate other options but No Benny has this to say " you immediately get offside , that made it very clear he wasn't welcomed or wanted at the Club .
He could of not be wanted from 2018 onwards but what does that got to do with this year ? Isn't he Professional enough to do what his paid to do for the remainder of his Contract ?
3\. Ikin says " but Moses 1st game on the back of signing with the Eels was against the Cowboys after being told he wasn't wanted , Elias goes on to say about Moses performance " Fantastic , Man of the Match and to his credit cause his the total Professional he was told it was his last game so he gave it his all ( by this time Kent can't even look at Elias in the face while his talking ) , Ikin says but the last 2 weeks then Elias quickly offers the excuses that the Hierarchy have been messing with his head as he was already told his going and the poor kid head is already in Parramatta
4\. Benny goes on to say that cause he wasn't a Priority and they focused on Teddy and Woods he basically went then Benny blows his trumpet by declaring " his a Priority.....his a Superstar , he touches the ball more than anyone on the footy paddock .
It's a real pity he doesn't know what to do with it

All Benny can say is that Ivan is under enormous pressure because he got rid 3 of the Big 4 and that they were all local juniors :blah :blah , not once does he say about Moses takes responsibility .

Can't even listen to this Germ anymore , piss off Benny will ya

I have listened to Ivan's interview today and he said that Moses's Manager sought a realise for Mitchell on the second day he started with the WT…. did I hear that right???....that doesn't line up with what we have been told.....???

I realise that your opinion has to be regarded as Gospel, but when I last heard , I believe it was Cleary who was in charge of saying who was staying and who was going , when Moses had the hammer droppedon him. And his offer pulled. Yet you include Cleary as one who kept Moses here.
He was onlyhere until they could get a good deal by letting him go.
Cleary has spent a lot of time since he arrived in looking for another player so he could get rid of Moses. Maybe you didn't notice.
The amount of faith that Cleary wasted on Moses was zilch.
Now let's see …who were the others you mentioned. Potter and what's his name again,......Taylor. Sorry, I forgot.
You were saying something about well regarded Coaches. I know you wouldn't be referring to them , so I must have missed a line somewhere. :roll

Cleary didn't remove Moses he down-prioritised the negotiations. Moses has been named in every match since Cleary started until the day he got a release.

Neither of us know what is in Cleary's mind, I'm just going off the facts.

So yeah 3 consecutive coaches (plus Webster if you want to count like the DT) played Broses together starting halves, but you think that was a mistake. 3 professionals and you.

I'm sure that even you don't believe the bs that was in that post, now we have The night watchman lowergrade Coach who had no say in who stayed and who didn't . Being another of your "well regarded Coaches.
Funny that your well respected coaches aren't in charge of any First grade club, maybe they're not as respected as you think
The only decent Coach that we have had since Sheens , got rid of him as soon as he Realised what lengths the spoiled brat would go to he dumped him even before having a replacement arrive.
Clutch at as many straws as you like , but the truth still is that the first well respected that we've had in years. Didn't want him here And has now cut him from the club
To use your own words
You really have no idea

Looking forward to your first coaching gig.

Anyway you misunderstand I did not say they were all well-respected coaches, I specifically said well-respected players (Potter, Taylor) and coaches (Cleary).

Point being all 3 of them ran out Broses as their first-choice halves combo. Then Moses is released to Parra and, whaddya know, Brad Arthur puts him straight into the halves as well.

So maybe putting Moses in reserves again ages ago was the best decision, but it seems nobody who has had the opportunity to do that in a professional capacity - not fantasy footy - has actually done that.

But of course you know better, you always do, so let me know when you get a coaching gig and I'll be happy to watch your progress, your excellent team building and player management strategies.

Plus Benny dig at Cleary at being under enormous pressure now, cause you know he got sacked from his previous job!!!!!

What's that got to do with the price of fish

Basically Elias lied on NRL 360\. Once we accept this as fact we can move on. The Moses deception is nothing more than a typical LEBANESE Welfare Campaign. FACT!

That on top of him bring the weakest, most self centred & entitled little piece of crap…. Impressive

I cant believe Kent and Ikin never took him to task

Moses was gonna sign- WRONG -He had months to sign
Cleary didn't want him -WRONG - He just had other players that were higher priority and so he should
Moses is a total professional -WRONG - he should have played out his contract
He is a superstar- WRONG - Superstars take their clubs to the semis
Ivan is under pressure - WRONG AGAIN BENNY - he is signed for 3 years and is building this club nicely

I would like to take this opportunity to personally extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr M.Moses, Mr I.Moses and Mr B.Elias for their stellar work in uniting and galvanising the Wests Tigers supporter base like never before.
Their hard work and dedication to the cause through rampant deceit, media manipulation, lies and lack of professionalism have allowed Wests Tigers to begin to cultivate a new culture and hopefully an era of success.
Once again thank you for your contributions, they have been a credit to your character as loyal and committed professionals.

It's pathetic Wests tigers in particular cleary are literally just trying to do their jobs and you have this sad lot having having a go at us by manipulating the media.

DT every second day - Your clubs a basketball your so called 3 biggest players left you. WT - Yes we did everything we could to keep them that was not enough for them and they left. We have now recruited arguably better team next year with more players to come. Can we move on?

DT - Moses release welfare blah blah welfare - WT - we did not want to release him didn't have a better player as yet and his contacted and a senior member and a main player for our 2017 team. Moses manager requesting the release incessantly but ultimately we released him because he stopped putting in because he was not getting what he wanted.

The fact the Moses stop trying the last two games and there has been no media about that just shows how much control Isaac Moses has on the media. But Wt gets slammed daily for doing their jobs. See the difference here?

Be careful what you read because Isaac may lurk behind it.
