I have a mate who is a muso in sydney and he told me on friday that he has a very good contact who told him the tigers had signed Todd Carney for 3 years. I told him that i didnt believe him as I had also heard Carney was going to the shrarks, rabbitohs and the titans. I also said why would we be trying to get moltzen back if we had signed Carney?! Then after i thought about it I thought that his contact might have said "Titans"and my mate mis-heard him, very similar. Then i wake up this morning to hear that we are happy for Moltzen to go to the dragons…hmm. The merry go round continues!!!

Carney has started a season at fullback with the Roosters and it didnt work. He finished the year at five eight and won the Dally M

Did it not work??? I seem to remember Carney looking great at fullback with some hiccups due to inexperience. I think the experiment with him at fullback was a much bigger success than many expected. It just turned out that for the Roosters, their team had a better balance with Anasta in the pack, and a non ball playing fullback.

If Carney was at the Tigers, it would be a disaster having him and Benji in the halves together, they both run sideways too much, and both are 5/8's. Carney would need to be in a position where his running is his focus and his ballplaying is a bonus….thats fullback.

Hope we dont get him though, not worth it
