If Moltzen is our HB next season we are in trouble.

What do you think he lacks for the position hybrid-tiger?

I'm not convinced one way or another but those who want him in the 7 will say we have a good record with him there.

No kicking or passing game for a start

Moltzen at half now thats a joke he struggles to be a fully rounded NRL player.Young Miller has more talent in his small finger than Moltzen in that postion. Can't Pass..Can't kick, can't tackle I wish he went to the dragons to be honest.I think he will be hard pressed to get a start next season as there are some real footballers vying for positions.

cause we have struggled so far with Moltz at halfback, what 9 wins from 10…...

obviously he is not too bad.

I think Tim slept with his missus.

Yep, keep bringing up that winning record, as if the whole basis for those wins was Moltzen.

IMO Moltzen isn't a natural halfback, not at all. He's a running five-eighth. He doesn't have a kicking game, is not creative and can't lead a side around the park.

His best moments have come from broken field play and support play. He has shown no attributes of a halfback even when played in that position.

But yeah, he slept with my missus, or something…

Moltzen has a great long kicking game and a fantastic passing game. When he played halfback he was never given the opportunity to do either because as Sheens has said "he has ball players (Marshall/Farah) he needs ball runners". That's why Lui has grown to take the line on so frequently. Moltzen had his kicking game nullified completely. I have never seen him put in a poor kick. He had his passing game coached out of him to the point where he is a complete ball hog.

Moltzen was ruined by the Wests Tigers coaching staff imo. The kid at any other club would be pushing for the NSW number 6 jersey imo.

you've given it to him all year!

I dont claim that it was all Moltzen in that record streak, you however claim we will be in trouble if we go down that path, history shows that we fare very well with Moltz at 7, we can obviously do well with him in that position.

I cant see us making the Top 8 if Moltzen moves to starting 7… He doesnt suit our structure there and opposition defences will nullify Benji more effectively.

Bad Idea!!!

I feel Moltzen has done a lot of harm to himself, his name will be mud with other clubs for his backdown with the Dragons. There are better guys than Tim in the grades at the tigers so if by some chance he is resigned it wont be 250 for three years far less, and if not resigned where to then park footballthis is a buisness tim and if you do not shape up next season you will be out the door so fast you would not have time to say gee should have gone to the dragons. Your mate is set like a jelly your not, mate i am not putting you down i hope you make it jut concerned maybe you have had bad advice good luck.

Sorry Tiger Jim, not directing this entirely at your post. Yours is just one of many in the same vein.
I find these statements to be nothing more then a reaction to the hype surrounding the whole saga.
Moltzen will have no problem making a career out of the game. I wont go through all the pro's and cons to his game, but to put it simply he can play just about anywhere in the backline and most importantly in the halves. He might not be the best halve running around, but halves are not a dime a dozen, especially when they can also fill in anywhere along the backline. People have very short memories, a solid season and he'll be in big demand. I'd be locking him up now whilst his market value has taken a dive for the short term.
By the way, I'm confident the Tigers will repay his loyalty to the club and extend his contract.

Agreed. We don't need a flashy halfback. Just someone to guide the forwards around the park, with a decent kicking game to take the pressure off Benji and Farah. Also one who could take the line on occasionally.
Jacob Miller please.

Why dont we wait and see better then makeing stuff up timmy moltzen 10 out of 11 shows that we can win when his hb ??

I think we were 7 from 7 with Moltzen at 7 in 2009 and we didnt make the Finals that year?!

Sheens hooks Moltzen from the 7 jumper for Lui, and we make the Top 4 two years running?!

I dont really need stats to know whats going on on a footy field, but I'm certain I can provide you plenty of stats that will show you 7 from 7 means very little!

We scored 6 tries in Round 2 in 2010 against the Roosters and still lost

Spot on,the old 9 from 10 with Tim at 7 carries no weight with me either,I personally feel we have better players at both fullback and halback than Moltzen, next year will tell though if Sheens is fair dinkum with team selections.

I dont see Marshall & Farah as 'ball players''/….if anything Lui & Moltzen are much better ball players, theyre both 5/8s too.
I think youre right in that hes (Moltzen) been told to run....but he can put a player away brilliantly if he wants to
