Source?

At least it's not season ending and he'll be back early enough.

We have a mutual friend, but they are confident its not long term as Folkes has apparently purchased some awesome equipment that speeds healing, we are the only NRL team to have this.

Don't tell me that he's fallen over the 'same' tennis ball that Todd Payten did last year?…...............
Please don't tell me that he took off his Power balance wrist band just minutes before sustaining his injury?........
Please don't tell me that it's a similar ankle injury that ended Taniela's career?.........................
It's not the 1st of April yet is it?..............................................

Hopefully it is minor, good news is that the knee is 100% and he's been doing contact work and its fine. The last year we had luck with injury was 2005.

If it turns out to be confirmed I guess it is a relatively common injury that can happen when rehabing a knee injury as you try to brace that joint subconciously

OMG… Kid's strugglin'.
Wish him a speedy recovery,
Hope to see him back on the field (Imo, not in the #7 as Lui has that on lock) as soon as poss.
Shocking news.

after one good game he has it locked in? really?
hello! Moltz smashes him in terms of line breaks and try assists, not to mention his fantastic support play even from halfback.
Lui is a passenger compared to molt7

:frowning: terrible news, we're brutal when he and benji combine in the halves. get well quick timmy.

Terrible news.

Although I am for Lui getting first shot, it would be such a setback while recovery from such a serious injury for Timmy. I hope Benji keeps him level headed and shares his experience with injury. He just has to be patient.

A passenger? A tad harsh. Molzten has barely played any footy in the last twelve months, let alone played halfback, yet you want to roll out the red carpet for him to take the position over Lui? He has just as much to prove as Lui does, if not more.

Let us be a little more objective here…

Moltzen 'smashes' Lui in terms of linebreaks because as you mentioned, he is a support player. Lui is not a support player - so I would expect to see Molzten make more linebreaks.

As for try assists - Molzten has twice as many try assists - not surprising considering he has played twice as many games as Lui. Let us not forget that Lui did not seem to have much freedom in the first half of the year, merely playing second string to what Farah and Marshall wanted to do, this did not give him much of an opportunity. The back half of the year Lui had developed confidence, was taking more control and was finally showing what he is capable of.

To be completely honest, I can never remember being 'wowed' by a game Molzten played in the halves. The only impressive things he seemed to be doing was making linebreaks, off believe it or, support play. Now I want my halfback to do more than that. I want organisation, I want vision, I want people being put in holes - can you honestly say Molzten has proven to be better than Lui at these things? As if.

Some of the plays Lui was developing with Ellis in 2010 for instance was class.

Lui's kicking game is far superior, hopefully he will get to demonstrate this in 2011 with Marshall letting Lui kick the ball more, especially from inside our own half.

One good game from Lui? You have got to be kidding. He spent most of the year in the 7, and steadily developed as the year progressed. He played many good games, especially in the finals series. I love a halfback that can handle the pressure!

I believe Lui is fully entitled to first stab at the number 7, regardless of whether Molzten is injured or not. He has shown more promise than Molzten has in that particular position. Molzten can make his linebreaks from support play from any other position on the field.

Molzten is no doubt a class player - but I don't see him as our number 7.

haha everything you say is correct centuar
heat of the (sad) moment :bawling :frowning:
