Moltzen shock option for Tigers semi

I just don't like the idea. Ligaments need month after month of rehab and that is followed by months of conditioning. Loading that up with a step at full pace of the leg sitting wrong in a tackle will see him miss half of next season as well. Not to mention there is no way he would be fit enough to handle 80 minutes of finals football

Yeah I agree, as fit as he might appear to be he can't be ready yet.

Exactly. Moltzen's knee will not be at full strength, and then there's the issue of confidence. No games under his belt since the injury, and throwing him in the deep end in a sudden death semi with no match fitness and no match confidence? No thanks, I'll wait until 2011 to see Moltzen running around.

Maybe we could see Marshall and Lui in the halves and Moltzen on the interchange???

Brad Fitler commented this morning that Moltzen was a possibility of playing when they were talking about options for the Tigers on the channel nine footy show this morning. Fitler didn't claim to know for sure it was just his observation.

risk benji, risk lawrence as there is an offseason around the corner though.. but not worth it for moltz as much as id love to see him play im with willow he will be unfit and out of form.

Just leave Moltzen on the bench and only play him if Benji needs to come off. From reading this article I get the feeling Moltzen will play. So excited for Friday!

Channel 9 must have read this post, they just said Moltzen to replace Benji if he is out :astonished:

I don't think this is true, Tim Sheens would not have even decided the team yet.

The media just gettng carried away again. The thing is as good as Moltzen can be if he hasn't prepared to play again this year is he a better option than someone who has? Same with Benji, is a 50% fit Benji a better option than a fully fit Fulton etc. at 5/8, I think not.

I'd be very surprised if either play in all fairness but it will be an interesting week full of speculation as I am sure they will give him right up to the last minute as disruptive as that will be.

Tim Sheens and more recently as yesterday Steven Humphreys said Tim Moltzen will not be playing in 2010.
