Moltzen Staying Or Going

It's all very confusing but as far as I know the dragons have right of appeal if they see fit to. Don't know whether that's the hold up or not. I can't shed any light on that guys sorry

Hmm yeh quite strange seeing as the positive result was communicated to the Tigers yesterday

Benji#6…Schubert isnt interested one way or the other in the Lui business, and its irrelevant

I reckon you are right, Centaur, but part of me feels if he was forced to go that he might eventually put it behind him. It's not like he is moving countries, or playing a new game, or even being forced to do a job he doesn't love. As far as immediate team interactions with a new coach especially I reckon it wouldn't be great, even divisise, but I think after a season of shared training and match experiences, who knows?

PS - just watched the game vs Eels (damn long off season) last night and Moltz was sensational. Hope he stays.

It is an utter disgrace that he cannot obide by his decision to join the Dragons. Supporter or not you have to think that a contract is a contract and if it is not followed through then it is a worthless document.

Why o'h why did they let him sign a 3 year deal in July and now they are saying he can't go. What a ridiculous decision. It should be the idiot that let him sign in the first place that goes to the wall and not the player.

Yes, a contract is a contract! Just like the contract Tim had signed with **Wests Tigers to play for them in2012!**

Listening to Talkin Sport - in talking about the whole saga and who has stuffed up they kept saying that the NRL registered Moltzens contract with Saints - first i have heard of this. I didn't think the NRL would register a contract without receiving the release of the previous contract.

I am starting to get sick of Talkin Sport (only listen to about half what I used to). I think this is just another chance to continue their (Talkin Sport's) vendetta against the NRL by saying that the NRL should have stepped in earlier. Since they don't get to broadcast the rugby league (due to the exclusive rights that 2GB paid for) they are anti everything the NRL does.

They are saying that the Tigers are being un-professional since they changed their mind about releasing Moltzen after the Lui saga. Can they not remember Humphries coming out at the time the Dragons announced the signing saying that no formal release has been granted by the Tigers? :bash

Pretty sure the NRL themselves have said many times that they only have Tigers contract for 2012 registered.

Wow, talkin sport is still on the air? last i heard about them, their station couldn't even afford to pay their salary. I stopped listening 5 yrs ago, such an insignicant show with a listner base of about 50
Like a few others have stated this is just boring. At first it was ok coz it gave us something to talk about in the off-season, but now its just boring

Sloppy work….they are rank amateurs though

Hughes last week was telling people Fein would start for the Kiwis in England because Isaac Luke would be suspended, he didnt even get cited.

They get a lot wrong

Ink, Im not saying Schubert is interested in the Lui case and I understand it is irrelevant. All Im saying is thats when I think we will here an announcement.

Here's my theory on what happened, based on the nibbles of info around here.

- tigers were looking to sign Dugan for 2013
- as such, they needed to release players to free up cap.
- they regretfully agreed that one would be moltz, but humpty did not want to be release him until Dugan was confirmed. Possibly why humpreys got quite upset at dousts announcement.
- Dugan choses the saints instead of us. Maybe a reason why doust announced molts early? To further entice Dugan with the quality coming to the club.
- moltz now isn't assured of a FB position at the saints, and decides he wants to stay. Especially with our 7 in doubt too.
- humphreys tries to make it happen knowing he has a loophole. For the club its become more necessary with lui also on the ropes.

Thoughts?

Mate Im sure if its good news the Tiges would love to dilute any Lui news with Moltz stuff….but I think it may be out of their hands just when it does happen, if at all

The delay is odd though, reminds me of a protest at the races, or a video ref decision, the longer the decision goes on, the better the odds for the long shot
