Moltzen Staying Or Going

Got a bad feeling about this backtracking. The karma bus will get us here. Just a gut feel.

He will either not play well or get injured. Sorry to be negative. He is a pretty talented footballer but no world beater, I would have let the original decision to release him stand.

I know 'm probably in the minority however thats just my personal opinion.

Hi Eddie

I know what you'r saying, but if we believe the account we seem to be getting, summarised well by Yossarian, we really should be ok with Karma! Have no fear! We need all the help we can get

Maybe this kind of thing is common, my theory is that a lot of clubs give a sort of 'informal' permission for players to talk with other clubs, but they don't actually sign the release until the end of the season. It's rarely called up on, but the Tigers found themselves in a position where they had to.

I've just one question. There plenty still unanswered.
Why did we urge him to look elsewhere in the first place….?

He wasn't urged, his place at the club wasn't certain, the tigers didn't see him as a prospect at the time so they gave him permission to talk. It's generally poor form to keep a player around if there are other clubs interested and he's not really in your plans.

Sheens wasn't happy with his Defence at the time claiming it wasn't up to NRL level.

The plan was to put Brown at Fullback….....But Moltzen hit some form learnt to tackle and so Sheens kept him there and now wants him for next year.

Don't remember what ? Sheens discussing it with you ? Reading it the paper ?

You asked the question why he was told to look elsewhere..I told you the reason.

Yeh, reading it or hearing it on TV, I assume thats where you came by it.
.I dont recall Sheens claim his defense wasnt NRL standard.
So where did you hear it B&W?

You might want to give him more than an hour to respond.

Some people have other things to do

Im fairly sure I know why's the delay sabre, thanks for the advice anyhow

I have no reason to doubt blackandwhite on this one Ink. Not that it's worth much but I also heard that Moltzen was put on notice last year after numerous poor efforts and luckily for him, he was able to pull his finger out and his form started to pick up.

Last year?
B&W's saying "at the time" meaning mid this year.
Im just surprised as I've never heard Sheens criticise him….
B&Ws reason was pretty specific...Luis defence at the time was the worst in the NRL, nowhere as bad as Moltzen...surprised Sheens said that, not something youd state when youve told the player to look elsewhere I'd have thought

What about turn style Lui,he held his spot but couldn't tackle a toddler.

Lui brought more then weak runs back, nonexistent support play. Throwing the dummy at every opportunity.

Thankfully he turned it around!
He was woeful for the first half a year

I think you are all being a bit harsh on Lui
He screamed "Tag" and they didn't stop
Once he worked that out he was fine

"I also heard that Moltzen was put on notice last year after numerous poor efforts"

Didn't he miss nearly all of last year?
