Moltzen Staying Or Going

Saints would have to look realy stupid now if they don't withdraw from this tug-of-war. Surely the Dragons players would try and veto this. As if they'd want to play alongside him?

Well, after the last year I think it is very clear that both Benji and Moltz desperately need a new manager!!

Taubner is a joke!!
:unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Legally i am convinced he will be @ the Tigers next year, & if you were Saints would you want a player on big money playing for you who doesnt have his heart in it.

Theres something very very wrong in all of this

Lets hope so!

Now he would be worth fighting for

This whole thing is just another reason why we shouldn't take what's written in the papers as fact.

obviously…

right through from the reasons why he signed mid-year to the this saga

Which ever way the cards fall, Moltzen will be playing in the top 17 giving it a 100%. This stuff about the dragon players not wanting to play with him because he has come out and said he wants to stay a tiger is rubbish. They are pro footballers and stand to make a hell of a lot more money playing at their best in the top grade than having a dummy spit in the lower grades and of course the dragons are not going to part with a fair chunk of their salary cap to have Tim running around in the lower grades.

He has indicated he wants to stay a Tiger, but if the cards fall the other way Iam sure he will move onand get on with his football down in the Gong. From my point of view its getting rather boring

Well, no surprises that he wants to stay, you'd think the Saints would be umming and ahhing about this. Is he really worth fighting for to come to the club when he'd prefer to be elsewhere? Yeah he's meant to be professional about it all, but still. If the heart is not truly in it, I don't think it's worth the hassle fighting.

In the end, if he stays, it's better for the Tigers, his form certainly improved at the back end of the season.

you'd think so 1/4

you have to admit that it's odd that the Dragons (Doust) seems intent on waging war through media releases. One would assume that the clubs often have issues like this.

How come it was ok for Gasnier to change his mind about playing after signing a contract and the Dragons having to let Costigan and Smith go, yet its not ok for Tim to have a change of heart? I know if I was a Dragons player who I would be dirtier on.

People change their minds all the time, I hate my job 1 day and the next day its fine. Thats life.

Yep, also could be why it took so long to sign Blair, the Tigers were not stupid enough to announce anything till EVERYTHING had been signed and sorted.

Moltzen sounds like a tosser to me. Unhappy cause he wasnt playing in the position he wanted mid year, caught up in all the other players leaving/ deserting a sinking ship. Then realizing, after everyone starts playing well, that he wants to stay. Seems like a fairweather type of player rather than a committed tiger. Thoughts?

Taubner is a joke!!

Who is he ? Who else does he "manage" besides these two? If he knew what he was doing he should have put a clause in saying Benji and Moltz cannot be separated..they must do everything together.

If I was Moltzen I would take the guaranteed 3 years at the Dragons…there is no guarantee he will play for another 3 years with Wests Tigers.

What is he going to do if Sheens half way through 2012 says
"Hey you can start looking for a new club..Reddy/Humble/Grant/Tedesco will be our long term fullback"

Which club would take him then ?...You can only use the crying option once in your career.

This isn't about Gibbs.
It's about moltzen

I said this weeks ago ink. If it was farah or Marshall in moltzs situation would peoples attitude to the way it's handled be different. ?? I was quickly told "but it's not them.".

Just because moltz is not a top shelf player in most peoples eyes doesn't mean it's wrong what the tigers are doing. Cause as sure as hell if it was benji or farah people would be screaming for the tigers to fight tooth and nail for them.

But its not farah or marshall….yes \its Moltzen, but Gibbs is in the same situation as he was...Marshall/Farah wasnt.
\

If the club told Farah/Marshall to look elsewhere and the same happened thats happened to Moltz my position would be the same

The only difference here is we have Gibbos position covered, Moltz's is not.

Now I understand even more why Gibbs was filthy.....he knew
