Moltzen Staying Or Going

IF Lui wasnt in danger of being cut by the tigers, Moltzen would have been off to the Dragons already. The Lui saga is the only reason the Tigers have had a change in heart. Plain and simple

Theres about 3 months in between when Moltzen first is told to look around and Lui's mad monday exploits

Exactly. This all surfaced after Lui's mad Monday exploits

Which was a couple of days after our last game also guys coincidence probably not
He probably wanted to leave it until he knew for sure what he wanted to do
Changing employers can be quite daunting when you have only known one employer previously

No it didnt….you dont tell a player to look around then when he finds something wait three months to arc up about it :brick:

I think this was always a chance of happening. The Lui incident made sure it happened. With the possibility of Lui being sacked I couldnt see WT going into a season with a new fullback and halfback. The side would have been Miller at halfback and Reddy or Brown at fullback. Miller has potential but not sure if he is first grade halfback material yet. Sheens obviously doesnt rate Brown as a fullback and Im not sure how many games Reddy has played there.

The logic you use is mind boggling! The only reason it took 3 months was because mad Monday happened to be 3 months after he signed for the Dragons. You remember what Lui did on Mad Monday dont you.

For the record i spoke to Moltzen at the Tigers Luncheon and he said "he was definitely off to the Dragons". He sounded sincere and could tell he was being truthful. It was a done deal and the Tigers weren't exactly fighting tooth and nail to keep Moltzen at the club with Lui wearing the No7.

what a joke on the dragons forum they think they own Molzten, there saying to keep fighting for him when clearly he wants to stay a tiger and play him in the nsw cup for 3 years and get compensation or trade him for 2 of our juniors they want , like Melbourne did a few years ago with the Titans (Turner) situation. Technically theres no contract with the dragons it hasnt been registered with the NRL we havent released him , Moltzen has a right to say where he wants to be, He can demand to the tigers he would like to be released if he chose to as he was asked to look around half way in the year. But hes choosing to see out his contract at the tigers and dragons should get over it and move on . Cant wait to play them next year :brick:

I dont mean to intrude in your slanging match but what did you expect him to say? Perhaps he was going to whisper in your ear "Dont tell anyone but I may still be a tiger. I didnt want to leave in the first place and now I could be staying. Dragons dont have a copy of my release". With the role of social media these days nothing is kept a secret. He couldnt tell you otherwise.

oh ok, so it had nothing to do with running the risk of derailing even further, what was up to that point already a very volatile period in their season, that they just decided to wait till the season was over
And what was the reason for not officially releasing him at the time? did they have a crystal ball and see into the future that there would be another off-field drama with Lui?

Are you saying that the only reason they are fighting for Moltzen now is coz they won't have a recognized halfback next yr if Lui isn't there? because what would that have to do with Moltzen considering he isn't even in the Tigers plans as a 7?

Well you could of said you were part of the Forum and asked if he could of given you a sniff of what was going on and that you would only share it with the Forum
He could trust us
We all love Moltz

Lets just hope Tim Moltzen is a tiger for 2012 and more years to come!He is happy here and doesnt want to leave so hope the nrl can sort it out soon….I dont think the fans will know the whole true story why was he given permission to negotiate in first place, when he had change of mind etc...really think we need him to be a force in 2012

Alot of clubs dont sign the deed of release till months after the player signs for the other club. St George still havent signed Darius Boyd's deed of release. Same with Tom Humble from Parra.

He is a quality ball player. Whether he is playing at 7 or 1 is irrelevant

Yes this, and the fact that they wouldn't want to lose 2 players from the 'spine'. Replacing one key player is manageable but trying to replace 2 would make it a tad more difficult.

I don't know of many 'quality' ball players who murder tries when they have 3 on 1 overlaps. Not to mention having a non-exsistant passing or kicking game. Yeah, he's a quality ball player alright :unamused:
