Moltzen to Sharks, Ryan to Penrith??????

ryan was great last week, playing in the forwards and ur right he gives 500%, i would like the tigers to keep him, but moltzen has lost it, very poor in attack but not much better in defence.

lost it….. players dont just lose it

it takes time to come back from a serious injury for jsut about everyone.

not to mention he has been moved to a different position every week, twice in the last 10 minutes before kick off

Beau was in at Lock last week and Give approximately 687%!! Anyone who said he didn't is a fool….
I'm a B Ryan critic... Always have been, But I tell y'all what..... He has impressed the BUDJESUS outa me in the last 4-5 weeks. For a guy with not a lot of talent, He runs on pure guts and spirit!! Anyone know the story of Vince Papale and the Philadelphia Eagles... Spirit, Guts, Passion and the Love for your mates and football team are definately things you can build success on.....

This is a great post. Probably because I agree with you.

Vine Papale was a cult hero, a bar tender making it in the big league.
Beau Ryan is no where near his status, terrible comparison lol.

They can lose it if they are not committed enough to make it back . Moltzen seems to be lacking the commitment just to "go for it" Yes the injury is behind it but eventually he has to take the bit by the teeth and say "Here goes nothing" It won't be easy Took me 7 months to get the guts to kneel down directly on my knee

Do the sharks have a salary cap….they seem to show an intrest to anyone.....god help the Queen when she visits later in the year

I suppose its hard to be committed when he see,s some bloke thats not up to NRL standard running around in his No 7 jumper every week

I think if Moltzen goes, it will bite us on the bum in years to come.

He will be to the Tigers what Thurston was to the bulldogs. They let him go too and look what happened.

Moltzen is a star of the future, thought highly of by rep selectors (gets picked when form is atrocious) and obviously Sheens see's enough in him to want him anywhere in the team.

Unfortunately I think his heart is a little broken because of what is going on at the Tigers. If he is staying, Sheens should give him a task NOW to become our fullback or halfback for next year. Let him play there full time NOW and get back to his best.

Funny how many of you forget that before he got injured early last year, he was in very good early form and mentioned in rep sides back then.

Mark my words, this guy is a future BIG star.

Whether he is a rep player time will tell, however generally the year after a knee reconstuction the player is not 100% certainly mentally. I think you will see a much improved player next year

Until he cements a spot in the starting 13 as his own, he ain't worth the coin he is on… Poor decisions in the past will see this kid having to leave if he can't turn it on by years end.

I think he is a future star, but I don't see it happening at Tiger Town.

Don't joke about it. :nerd:

She'd probably make their starting 17..

Although next year for them is crunch time.

Never really understood the hype around Moltzen. For mine I think he has ok skills but he will never be an elite player.Thurston is 1000 times a better player than Moltzen, even when he was at the Bulldogs (can't believe they let him go but they had a very good squad at the time.

In my opinion young Tedesco at Fullback and young Miller at halfback are both better prospects than Moltzen. Playing Moltzen in either position next year would be wrong as both of thes guys are good enough to play NRL next year.

Moltzen is a good utility for our club and would be great to keep just not on $300k

your comparing Moltzen,a guy whose played only 30-odd games to arguably the best player of the last decade? Thurston,a guy who has been a premiership player,a Dally M medalist,an Australian and QLD halfback and 1 of the key components for QLD winning 5 consecutive Origin series and possibly a sixth? WOW…..just wow

There are time when to me looks like an elite player. We haven't seen that this year but we have in the past. The only issue I have with him is that he reminds me a lot of Nathan Wood. When Nathan played at the tigers he looked like he had the ability to be a big star. He had a really good passing game and his running game was awesome. For whatever reason he didn't have the extra ability to really go on and become an elite player.

I'm not convinced Moltzen will kick on especially if he doesn't get to settle into one position.

I haven't seen Tedesco. Maybe he will be a gun. Miller although rated really highly has in my opinion not looked up to it in first grade so far. Lui and Moltzen in form have both looked significantly better than Miller has played when he has had his opportunities. Our issue is that both Lui and Moltzen are out of form.

$300k is way overs at this point.

Wow….Moltzen & Thurston in the same sentence..LOL

And to continue on : Folkes smart man that he is (Why is he her still here?) signed Brent Sherwin for 5 years and let Thurston go. He obviously doesn't want to make the same mistake with the "new" Thurston.

With the number of players reportedly going it makes one wonder just how badly WTs were over the salary cap or has the club accepted that the players going aren't worth keeping??
