They would not be signing him if Bennett was still there I reckon . I know a few people keep saying the he will burn us by letting him go but decisions sometimes have to be based on "what ares" not "what ifs" and 300k for his performances so far this season are way overs and there are better options for a far friendlier price tag on the market if we move quickly

Im fairly sure Moltzen is not on big coin, in fact last year when he got injured there was talk of losing him, due to his contract being heavilly incentive based.

Goose I can only go on the figure that was bandied around on the forum and by the papers . It was 300 k . You must admit yourself on todays form 300 k is way too much for Moltzen

He will be to the Tigers what Thurston was to the bulldogs. They let him go too and look what happened.

Moltzen is a star of the future, thought highly of by rep selectors (gets picked when form is atrocious) and obviously Sheens see's enough in him to want him anywhere in the team.

Unfortunately I think his heart is a little broken because of what is going on at the Tigers. If he is staying, Sheens should give him a task NOW to become our fullback or halfback for next year. Let him play there full time NOW and get back to his best.

Funny how many of you forget that before he got injured early last year, he was in very good early form and mentioned in rep sides back then.

Mark my words, this guy is a future BIG star.

Clearly I am not directly comparing them other than to say Moltzen could be the gem we lose and we regret in the next 5-7 years.

Is he as good as Thurston? Clearly not at this point, but with the right opportunities, confidence and faith, he could certainly be up there somewhere. I for one will be extremely sad to see him go if he does. But then again, once he or anyone else wears someone else's jersey I will be saying Tim who!

And to continue on : Folkes smart man that he is (Why is he her still here?) signed Brent Sherwin for 5 years and let Thurston go. He obviously doesn't want to make the same mistake with the "new" Thurston.

Don't knock Folkes - plenty on here think he turned us around last year. The fitness coach apparently has a greater role in the team than what some of us thought.

All coaches get them wrong in both directions all the time.

Not quite the same thing, but I remember saying to my mates about Matt Hayden, after his 4th recall to the Aussie team, for the Indian tour, how many chances does this idiot get, first class hero, test match zero, blah blah blah…

As we know he scored a squillion runs that tour, and than went on to be a hall of famer,

I reckon as arm chair critics we have all done that, only difference is we dont get a say, coaches get a say so when they get it wrong, they have to live with the results
