Moltzen's new deal takes pressure off

He's the weirdest player! He could be so damn good if he just relaxed a little and put his body on the line more, but he rarely does. You get the odd glimpse of how good he could be, especially when he chimes into the backline and creates an overlap, but for the most part he plays with such timidity and non-commitment. I suppose he needed to be re-signed though because he is virtually the only one in the backline, bar Lawrence, with any speed!

Yeah well said, for some reason he reminds me of Darius Boyd.

Three years is too long. Hope he was cheap. He just does not put his body on the line in attack, defence, and especially under bombs.

if this is the "official announcement" by the club, then you would think lewis would have been announced alongside moltzen if signed.

Club probably prefers to fly under the radar on this one….very embarrassing for all concerned, opening old wounds...a sad sad period for the club

very well said innsaneink. Totally agree . why give ammunition to the media…..

Re-signing Moltzen wouldn't neccessarilly be something to brag about i wouldn't have thought

We have a lot coming through with speed and power Flip

That can't be the reason we have signed him

The only explanation I can see is he is the utility for 2013 and beyond

In that case the other 14 utilities can go now

Well now I expect him to hit form and start to play good if this is how he feels so no more stiff ups and running the ball back

Whether he starts in the 13, on the bench or in the squad, his signing is a good thing as it adds depth throughout our back line and creates competition in pretty much every position from 1-7

Well, lol or not, that should actually be the case HT! A mate asked last night about Humble, the reality is that he is behind Moltzen who SHOULD be our utility, so yes, some other back-up players should be released. As a utility/back-up player he is a good signing. Now we only need to get the coach to USE a utility/back-up properly…

Most players really put in extra BEFORE the contract negs have been finalised….if what weve seen is him giving 110% trying to jag a new deal.....
Time will tell.

I wonder when the club will announce it?

Maybe waiting for the Lewis thing.....maybe not.
