More Tigers Players To Be Punted

yes but another part of the game Steve - is on field talk - have you considered this?

Is Farah a deaf mute? What is your point?
Woods doesn't seem to say a word on-field, Moses is still barely past being a rookie and Brooks seems so shy and introverted that he would be stood over and intimidated by a pre-schooler. Im more than happy to have a real competitor out there barking at the troops, after 250 games it's not as if he doesn't know what he is talking about.

Correct !

Again, some peoples dislike for the guy has overridden all sensibility

Fact of the matter is, he's 100% in the top 16 players at the club

All the idiots saying just pay him his $950k and let him go. What a stupid suggestion we could get him to go for less and that is the clubs job. Would you really want the club to play $1 million down in 2017\. We are trying to get him to go and someone else to pay half of it so that we can get rid of his attitude and be competitive. Of course he needs to go but the clubs job is to pay him as little as it is possible next year while getting rid of him

I wonder if you would have the same attitude if someone was trying to get out of something they owed you.

NO , the clubs job is to pay him, whether he plays firsts or Reggies, Did another club sign something saying we will pay him if you've made a mistake. No ,
So you want the club to sign a contract knowing that you won't pay the full amount.
I'd hate to buy a car from you boonboon
Just because some other clubs do it, we should be crooks too.
Nice Ethics
Luckily this practise will be looked at when the Rlpa get some balls, OR
A player takes a club to court. It will happen , it just depends when

He'll be getting his $900k (or whatever it is) either way - that's not an issue.
WT are trying to get him off the books for next year to open up cap space. If we can offload him to SGI, and they agree to pick up $450k of the tab, then that's a Elijah Taylor sized hole that's just opened up in our salary cap.

They have been trying to do this for a whole year now. It ain't gonna happen it seems. How can some of you miss this?

Plenty of time now before the start of next year.
Their argument the first time round was most clubs had finalised their rosters, it was too late for them to recriuit a high paid player.

Their argument doesn't cut much mustard TBH. Farah has been on the nose at WT for more than a year now and all throughout that time it has been made abundantly clear that WT will offload him at any opportunity and whatever cost financially.
Still nobody has come calling with any sort of offer it seems.
Hate the way this whole schemozzle has played out but get rid of Farah because he is never going to be of any value to WT anymore, having him play reserve grade on 900k next year and all of this constant crap about RF v JT is just going to drag our club to it's knees.
He is a legend of our club and deserved to get his 250th game, he has wholeheartedly played his guts out for WT, playing with significant injuries and always very committed with passion. No use having someone who is not wanted around the club anymore- that is nothing but destructive.
Sad way for it to end.

Especially after the way he handled being dropped. No one is that stupid to sign this clown. He'll see his time out in reserves. A fitting end.

They created the problem, and if you think they want him out at any cost. Fine pay him out, no problem. No club can get him at bargain basement prices as there are rules that don't allow that. So pay him out.
Won't happen because money is the point, not performances, they want to Weasel out of paying him out, but they need him to agree, which he'd be a fool to do. No one else would in his position.
As I said , the club created the problem. Pay him out. Easy !
However
That's the clubs problem, not Farahs

It's amazing that some don't get it, the debt is WTS.
He can play reserve grade all of next year or they can pay him_

It's obvious that it is personal for a bunch of these guys. They actually want Robbie to be the devil.

This is a guy who has given his all to our club.

Absolutely i do. I got zero time for players who think they are bigger than the club i love. Zero respect

And you don't think its personal for a lot of people with JT? Do you choose to ignore the crap spewed his way?

Maybe it is. I can state that it shouldn't be personal towards either of them.

Yep they will punt players while any player in the nrl with half a brain won't touch this team. Not surprised Sounds like an idea only the Tigers could think of.

Its very simple-we have to pay Farah, let him earn it in first grade, he is still the best hooker in the club by a mile. He is not leaving despite all the bullshit Taylor & club are sprouting. He can play the way Taylor wants him to, but Taylor is just messenger for the board who are hoping these tactics will hurt Farah's pride & have him leave for another club or accept a reduced amount to what he is owed. This will not happen. Farah is the most stubborn of men.
Also, he does not deserve this treatment for the 14 years he has given to this club.

What is obvious is that this thread is supposed to be about more WT players being moved on BUT it has , as most other threads lately, been turned into yet another Robbie thread complete with the requisite personal slights. The mods should close any thread that has been hijacked in this way.
