No other club wants Jason Taylor either

Not sure why this matters. Clubs aren't usually in the business of shopping their coaches around.

you have two very desperate blokes that know that they will never get another gig at another NRL club, well JT that's %100 true

Why is it 100% true? You're crucifying him for one bad yr. Did he make mistakes? Absolutely. Did he learn from them? Judging by the way the team played towards the end of the yr, you can argue he did. A couple facts about JT that everyone who wants him lynched refuses to acknowledge is that he's had success at 2 previous NRL clubs, and despite mistakes that he's made this yr, he has not had the luxury of having the side he wants due to the cap, and most likely will not till 2017\. Is he Wayne Bennett or Craig Bellamy? No, but he isn't Paul Langmack or Arthur Kitinas either.

You call JT desperate, i call him brave. You say that he'll never get another gig in the NRL again. If that's the case, why would he risk his tenure here by doing something so out of the box? Wouldn't it be easier just to continue with the status quo? Rightly or wrongly, he's gone all in with this and it will be what defines his tenure here.

We will certainly revisit JTs tenure at the end of 2016.. It will be interesting, especially for JTs band wagon cheer leading crew on the ss titanic

I don't think he has any band wagoners. You'd be hard pressed to find one Wests fan that hasn't bagged him at least once this yr. Just because people support this decision doesn't make them band wagoners. Unlike the ones who want him gone, there are others who are happy to wait and see how he goes with the side he wants before calling for his head.

Well said GNR4life. He was hired to do a job and so far he has done it well. Players gone, young players re-signed, some new blood, getting the salary cap under control, improving our defence and reducing our injuries. So far, so good.

When he gets the side he wants and we do not go so well, then we can get out the baseball bat. Until then, let's wait and see.

Yep. Wait and see. Interesting times ahead.

Col, if you believe demonstrating no improvement from round 1 is a measure of success your standards must be right down there.

Taylor gone after rounds of next season if this continues.

Robbie & Jason remind me of the 70's tv show the " Odd Couple".
A show in which two people were completely opposite, but eventually found a way to work well together.

For the sake of wests-tigers, I do really want to see them win at least 5 of the first 8 games.
Confidence build momentum. Also have a successful " Origin period" which sets them up well for the last 8 games.
None of this " our run starts now crap", :unamused:

It should start from round 1 and continue to end of round 26 :bulb:

What I am saying is that a coach lives and dies by results. So he is entitled to select ( and purchase ) the team that he feels will achieve a winning culture. If this happens then good, if it does not happen, then any coach, no matter who he is, will be moved on.

I do not know how old some of the contributors to this forum are, but it seems to me that they may be of the younger generation that needs instant gratification. Well life is not like that, no matter what they have been told. If you work hard then things will get better. Nothing good happens overnight.

There are lots of cliches (old), like:- slow and steady, patience is a virtue, good things come to etc etc.

Let's all chill out and see how next season goes.

Yeah there's nothing like hoping we get thrashed.

Something else I don't get, people saying they hope we're in a position half way through 2016 where he's sacked. They're basically saying they hope we're coming near last. Strange way to support your team but each to their own.

I think they are diehard Farah fans and hopes whats happens to Robbie they also want to happen to JT. With Robbie gone they may not support the club any longer, or a lot more passive about it. If Robbie eventually gets his job back I will sign up even though 500 miles away.

I think if anyone stops supporting the club because Farah got moved on are just looking for an excuse to bale. No doubt they'll return when we come good.

Its not hard for a supporter, especially a long time supporter to find a reason to bale. over the years there has been many opportunities to do that.
its probably a Straw\Camels back situation.People on both sides of the argument feel pretty strongly about the present situation, and maybe arent willing to accept it any more

We hear a lot of people saying that they support the club for whatever reason.
personally I dont support the club as such, as ive seen so much incompetence and self serving decisions taken by the club from the time I started with WESTS and later as WTs. And I dont feel that they deserve supporting
However I DO support Wests Tigers team , and always will, no matter what the boneheaded at times, CLUB does, AND no matter what team they put on the field
I dont think that this makes me or anyone else who feels the same less of a supporter than anyone else.
Just a different opinion.

I reckon its also the sporting landscape in sydney that adds to people's decision on who and why they support a football team. Team goes rubbish for x amount of years add on top administration and management issues and people find it easy to walk away and follow another footy code more seriously.

Not for me. Rugby way too congested. Soccer too much kicking in circles getting nowhere so to speak, plus losing possession too often. AFL a girls game compared to rugby league (sorry girls). AFL's high scores shows it is a much easier game.

I am not young and I don't need a coaching change every year. My point is by half way through the year we are in the bottom two than Jason Taylor should go, it is a results driven business and to be frank his results in his first year were pitiful.

I would hire guys like Geoff Toovey, Ivan Clearly and the Walkler Brothers over Jason Taylor and his inept coaching and boring game plans.

One would think this is JT's last shot (Bar the ESL) Our club supports him now and it's on the brink of war…
As soon as he loses the support of the club, It will get uglier than it has been... I can't imagine he will be resurrected from the ashes of what ever is left from that. - Unless someone has ne real other options (Like we did)
Fortunately for us, There are a few other option floating about from the start of next year.. I'd love Cleary to come back, But in honesty - If he ends up overseeing the Warriors coaching ranks, There is a fair chance McFadden will get speared mid next year and Cleary will step in.

Unless, We seek him out now, Let him know what we're thinking.... And hope to god interested.
