Just looking at his stats:

111kg
1.94 m

0.51 tackles per minute - if he was to play 80 minutes - 41 tackles per game
94% tackle efficiency

2.08 meters per minute - if he was to play 80 minutes - 166m per game
9.8 meters per carry

Hahaha if he was to play 80 mins! A bloke that size?

He played 80 minutes in round 13 against the Cowboys

Great comeback

Well before you get too self-congratulatory, yes fair enough he played 80 mins in one game, and no I did not check that before I posted, so serves me right.

HOWEVER his average in his career 9 games is 46 minutes played per game.

I don't see the value in extrapolating his 80 minute potential unless he is a regular 80 minute player? If you get my drift, you are taking his average performances over 9 matches, where on average he gets 35 mins rest, and extrapolating them to full 80-minute potential, based on 1 x 80 minute stint?

Out of curiosity , what were his stats in his lone 80 minute stint?

70m from 8 runs, 38 tackles 4 missed, 0 penalties, 0 line breaks / tackle breaks / tries / line break assists, 0 offloads.

I don't recall the game but McQueen played only 30 mins, the bench played about 20-30 mins each and the starting pack all played 65 mins or more, looks a tale of injuries and tired forwards defending desperately but with no energy to make metres.

Did he play backrow or prop?

The 80-minute scheme is used to compare stats between players.

Hardly a sensible comparison - the _potential_ impact of a player if they were to consistently play 80 minutes, based on the energy they expend over half that time.

I can run 1 km in a not-too-tragic time, but no way I can keep that up over 5 kms - yet you would extrapolate my 1 km time to my 5 km time?

How about other comparison options - averages per game, or output per minute, or output per points etc.

Market watch reporting we have tabled boyle a 2yr deal and are leading the chase for his signature. However titans are desperate and have counter offered with a 3yr deal. Not sure how much they have offered but they are under cap pressure and i doubt the titans have offered more money than the tigers. If its the 3rd year he wants in his contract in order to come to us i think ivan and pascoe should give him that extra year. He is young tough and fit i dont see why we shouldnt table him a 3yr deal

More money from a Sydney club doesn't necessarily mean more money. Much cheaper accommodation on the Gold Coast then down here which adds up over a 2 or 3 year period. Relocating your life from the Coast to Sydney would require a lot more money. Well it would for me anyway. I suppose other factors may come into like opportunity etc, but i'd leave the Tigers for the Gold Coast for less let alone already be settled up there and move down to us. Mcqueen proves this theory wrong though, so who knows.

Hayne must be taking a fair chunk of their cap I think it was just over a million, and they have just re-signed Peats.
Ash Taylor and Ryan James would be on decent coin as well, so their cap might be stretching into a sombrero as well.

Hayne 1.2 mill
James 700k
Peats 600k
Proctor 600 k
Thats just 4 players. They wont be able to conpete with us if we offer 3 years too.

Very handy player, But according to Peter Tunks we pay overs for everyone, Tunks is a GOOSE.

Tunks also didn't know that Michael Gordon played origin, doesn't watch any games outside of Canterbury and thought that QLD were well past it.

The bloke knows less about the game than a Finnish migrant and is about as funny as a fart in an elevator.

I know the Boyle family quite well. From what I have heard it will have to be a very good offer to lure him away from the Titans. He has his partner up there and sister moving to the area also.
