At least he’s honest can’t ask for more than that still can’t see many teams lining up for him.

Most likely already has a club lined up, otherwise wouldn't be asking.

It opens the door for all clubs both NRL and ESL.
Classy way to go about things.

Not like Matto or Josh chucking the sulks whilst having a deal on the side ready.

What’s classy about leaking stories to Buzz denigrating the Tigers Medical staff over treatment of a knee injury?
He’s a barnacle on our hull - scrape him off !

Believe there is a club who reached out to Mbye's management which prompted this request, him leaving this yea isn't out of the realms of possibility.

Mbye’s manager has approached the Titan’s (blamed the Tigers for shopping him around),Bronco’s & even the Dolphin’s during the off-season why is he only asking for permission now, hopefully a deal is on the table.

The 2 most bashed guys that were/are under contract with the WTs ...J Rey and Moses...have both been classy in their moving on or wanting to move ...
Irrespective of their huge money deals,at the time both were applauded by many, some disagreed but they were signed...
I liked J Rey as a person who did his best everytime he played for us,even under the public hummiliation a woman put him through as well as injuries he aquired...
Moses has always been shoved in different positions because of his versatility and in my opinion has done his best and always had the clubs and teams interest at heart...both were origin players...
compare these 2 guys to JA,Matto and Slimey for example, they never publicly spoke badly about the club, always represented the club well and neither of them ever TANKED.....

true on all counts

Not Mbye's fault that Ivan Cleary panicked and paid Super overs.

I really respect Moses Mbye for his honesty and I really am hopeful that he and the club will find a mutually beneficial outcome.

I'd respect him even more if he gave half the dough back.

Was thinking the same.

For the life of me i cant work out which club would give him the minutes he is after.

Probably a coincidence, that it comes out just as cowboys management fly into Sydney as well.

They definitely need a half . With Morgan medically retired , and Clifford off to newy . Plus he’s a Queenslander , and that shouldn’t count for anything , but up there it does .

Mbye was highly rated by the Bulldogs, with comparisons being made to the great JT. They didn't want to let him go, only to be left with egg on their faces like they did with him (Thurston). I think our head office got caught up in the hype, thinking that we'd managed to pry him away. A 'JT' would be a difference maker at any club.
It is now obvious that he is not the next JT, but it's certainly not his fault that his value was increased due to comparisons with a player from the past.
Perhaps the next part of the story will be him going to the Cowboys and fulfilling the destiny bestowed upon him by club officials when he first hit the scene.
He's a quality player and a quality human and I hope he finds the right spot in the right team.

I think he’s been class , and a good leader around the club , if not on the field . His best position is definitely 6 , which means , if he’s your 6 how far are you really going . He’s been blessed both at the dogs and here , with desperate clubs paying elite money for a slightly above average player. And it looks like with the cowboys circling he’s going to be blessed again , as they are totally screws if they don’t sign someone of quality yesterday . The Morgan noise is legit , as it has been for every other player not named Packer , related to a medical retirement . Do they have a winger we can get , who’s of first grade quality ?

Would they do it though ? He’s the only guy in thier backline , who’s really worth anything . But yea you’d take the hammer in a heartbeat . These rumours about Valentine being unhappy , would be worth investigating , I’d take him for 500-600k . We definitely can afford it .especially with Joey gone next year .

Mbye could be a reasonable 6 or 7 playing on the left side of the field. It would mostly depend on the other players in the spine. Like Chad Townsend and Blake Green he could offer control and experience if the others in the spine were young and creative.

Dear Telecrap...

Please fact check your articles..

This is behind a paywall thank god but shows everything that is wrong with RL reporting ..you can't call it journalism..

Headline Former skipper demands early exit from Tigers deal..

The former Wests Tigers skipper has asked the club for an early release from his big money deal. 👀

Fact..No release has been requested..Moses has made no demands..permission has been sought to look elsewhere for 2022.

Telecrap ..you caaaaaarn't let facts get in the way of a good story..you caaaaarn't..

I agree.... But when does a club / or player start standing up to this rubbish..
Yesterday Moses and the club clearly released a statement about what happened and it is nowhere near what DT / Fox report..
I would love nothing more than Lee to stand up and ask the questions to DT / Fox and put them in there place.
Unfortunately most Tigers fans fall for it and there click baits and it makes it a issue when it is not.

I don't know the legal term but it has to be boarding on Bullying as there clearly have an agenda against us.

There are 2 clubs that are in crises mode now and yet they continue with Tigers stuff.
Manly - Last and getting flogged with players not happy...
Cowboys - Bottom as well and players unhappy and even now club has said Josh McGuire is free to go as well.. Yet nothing.
Anyway my rant over ..

Not a chance !

This is why Mbye was named captain. That is one smooth, political talker.

I do wish him all the best though. Best outcome for all involved and no doubt he's got plenty of good games left in him.

McGuire for Mbye?

Both been told they can look elsewhere. Both have contracts for next year.

We could use him at lock.

It's a nice time to be an aspiring young half who is a good organiser, with a strong kicking and passing game. Did I describe anyone?😁

No one cares about those clubs . The tigers are a huge draw card , and we attract drama . People care , which means clicks ,which means money , which means journos keep a job , when they’re is increasingly more podcasters , and online blogger types .

Yes or the young Kiwi 5/8 who really demonstrated some zip when he played NRL.

Think $ and you won't be far from the truth.

The Cowboys also have a hooker issue, not just the half position.

Understand mate but would still like to see someone stand up to them about making rubbish up.
