Credit where credit is due...Looks like he has found his position...

Not a bad audition for the QLD centre spot either..

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, in saying that he was brilliant tonight both in attack and defence, played with passion, determination and proved a point.

He was very good tonight. He looks good in the centres.

Did I miss something?
It’s 1 game and he found his spot... some are easy pleased.

He gave away some bog ordinary penalties and was really ineffective with the ball in hand. Whats more concerning is despite that he out played Masters who looks tanked at the moment.

Looks great at centre both in defence but also in attack added options and spark on a side where we had nothing all year. Think he has found his position.

Agree with others not sure Thommo is a fullback though.

Mayby we will see Dylan Smith a run later in the year but def understand why Madge is looking for a fullback

You can’t say a player has found his position after one game, but he was very good. Encouraging signs.

Definitely looked more comfortable.
But I think he has to move back to fullback next week by default. He's a much better option there than Thompson.

Bit premature.

He did some good things tonight (particularly tacklewise), but his was also all at sea at times defenisvely. In attack he was okay, nothing to go nuts about.

I think he has to go back to FB. Thompson's has cost us pretty heavily the last two games there.

As has Mbye this year. We've no one looking really good there, but I think Thommo seems to love the challenge, Mbye not so much.

Fair call. I don't know whats right, and I could see a point for going either way.

Thompson was horrible under the high ball tonight, dropped 3 bombs, dropped a few last week as well. He also cost us a couple of tries with his position play last week. I know Mbye has had some costly errors too, but I don't know. I think id go to Mbye at fullback, but at some stage in the game (late in each half) consider Thompson as a sweeping roll in attack (like how brisbane use Oates). Either way, neither are a great option at the moment.

Agreed, he looked pretty good tonite. We've no one else that resembles a centre artist from Esan.

I think the best thing that’s come out of Mbye playing centre is the balance in our backline. In saying that, esan isn’t playing to the form he produced last year, Madge needs to drop him like he’s been doing with those that aren’t performing.

I agree, I'm concerned about Esan's lack of form this year. He's been very average.
