Moses Suli

Seriously let him develop at his own pace. Some of the comments on here will do him no favours in the long run.I hope the coaching staff DONT rush him.If his performances during the year suggest he is ready then perhaps give him a game but dont push him too early

The clubs are in the business of winning and while I can understand where you are coming from, there is simply too much money and credibility to lose with unsuccessful teams. If you are better then the bloke who is above you, you will play first grade.

I agree,
I hope the tigers field their best 17 whether Suli is in it or not.
I would personally shift Simona to left wing and left centre to be fought between Kev / Heleta / Suli
I hope Heleta & Suli do get a chance sometime during the year (especially in origin without Teddy)

Few things

If we are over the cap his contract can't be registered

Regarding the his deal its 4yrs and with the cap increase + squad increase + Kev already saying he will leave, he would be on coin just above the expected min NRL wage the RPLA is working on.

Damned if they do or dont regarding investing in youth but we need size and speed - he has both lets hope he can develop over time and we don't rush him too quickly.

I don't understand why Pascoe feels the need to tell everyone what a kid who hasn't played first grade gets signed for. Justin your main job is to re-sign Tedesco don't worry about anyone else. Sign him and the rest will follow.

The new management team emphasised the need for the club to build its foundation on the development of its junior base. Suli is a highly sought after junior who has emerged from our juniors and is an example of the success of this policy so why wouldn't WT management want to publicise this success? Also the big 4 (and this campaign against Brooks is a disgrace) are all products of our development system! Again it highlights the WT Management have it right in this regard,

What I said was…I don't know why Pascoe feels the need to tell everyone what a kid or for that matter anyone GETS PAID! I thought Mayer was dumb this guy is sure trying his best to out do him.

TROUBLE IN TIGER TOWN

THE Wests Tigers hopes of landing any of the “big four” signatures before the start of the season have nosedived dramatically since las Sunday.

The reason? The reported $1.3 million contract signed by rookie Mosese Suli.

Plenty of good judges rate Suli an immense talent. But the story splashed all over the front page of the newspaper has caused carnage at the Tigers Concord offices.

Where has Pascoe mentioned his pay? Everything related to $$ that's been mentioned in the press has been termed 'estimated' or similar, no quotes from Pascoe or anyone else from WT, as per every other deal.

Reading the CEO update, Pascoe confirmed it was a 4 year deal (i.e. 17-20), which doesn't seem too bad with the reported wage.

Clickbait people…clickbait

Clickbait is a pejorative term describing web content that is aimed at generating online advertising revenue, especially at the expense of quality or accuracy, relying on sensationalist headlines or eye-catching thumbnail pictures to attract click-throughs and to encourage forwarding of the material over online social networks. Clickbait headlines typically aim to exploit the "curiosity gap", providing just enough information to make readers curious, but not enough to satisfy their curiosity without clicking through to the linked content.[1][2][3]

From a historical perspective, the techniques employed by clickbait authors can be considered derivative of yellow journalism, which presents little or no legitimate well-researched news and instead uses eye-catching headlines that include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism.[4][5]

Ah is this a new thing because it didn't happen at WTs last year.

Rupert Murdoch would own the patent for this

Will be watching Suli closely this year. I hope he has the skills to be a very good centre, and is not just a bloke that has been able to dominate the juniors because of his size.

I know he's only a few games into his career, and the powers that be have thrown a pile of cash at him to lock him down, but I am getting the feeling that he is the next Tony Williams. With his size and speed he never hits the ball up with any sort of anger or enthusiasm…..he looks disinterested......
Am I the only one??

He bends the line almost every time. Not sure what else you're expecting from an 18 year old still finding his feet in the NRL.

Yes.

He'll be a gun.

I know for a fact he was a poor trainer in the lower grades, Pre-SG Ball, I don't know how he trained there.

But he was benched for that reason and had a fallout with the coach. If the club was aware of this when they offered him that contract, then it really wasn't smart.

Going to be hard to keep him interested now. Though his performances haven't been that bad.

He looked nervous in the first few games but in the last one he looked solid
He attacked the high ball and he tried to run as hard as Kevvy and Nofo

If he commits the way he did last Sat i wont have any issues

Prior to that performance i was questioning the TV what they say in him to offer the 1.3mil

He still looks a bit timid, he's very young and has only been in the top grade for a handful of matches. I've been a critic, mainly due to the hype (I mean we're replacing JAC..), but I think once he builds some confidence he'll only keep improving. An outside back of his size is also something we've been crying out for and I'm looking forward to seeing him develop.

He runs hard and is going well for a rookie. He looks a little underdone with fitness and muscle mass but he is only 18\. Big lad with a big future looks to me to be a good investment. He is no winger centre is his position.
