I've assumed Tiger Torch was Mark O'Neil ??

Seemed to stop posting around the time.

From the way he/she talked, they were not as close to the decision making process as the General Manager would be.

I was of the understanding that the posts ceased when Tiger Torch was dobbed in / identified on the forum by Tigers management and kiboshed.

Tiger torch hasnt been back since his last post was removed from the forum by the heavies on here. Which is a damn shame as he always had some great information.

100% right ^^^^

Some of you blokes take this all way to seriously

Here he comes with his 5 cents worth, just keep walking along buddy.

Anyway to leave the torch alone for a minute, with Simona now a chance to head up north to the Gold Coast Chargers I suppose Moses Suli is now a chance of playing in the top grade from round one, but knowing our man Taylor he will put Nagamia back in the centre to accomodate the flying and high jumping Rankin. I guess it could be worse he could opt for Scobie Milone!!

lol..I'm sensing the positive vibes are waning …

If Moses turns heads in the 9's we could see him in first grade sooner than we think. A couple rookies have made big impressions in the 9's over the years that have propelled them into the top grade.

Geo, mate ..yes after being in a positive space for most of the off season, my negative side is now starting to dominate. Not sure what it is, I guess when I look at our squad in isolation I am positive but when I start to compare it with most of the better sides I start to get negative.

Iam just a great believer in having a very strong engine room and ours is way behind the better sides and I just don't see where the 10 to 15% improvement is going to come from considering we have the same engine room bar some untried kids from the lower grades.

Its not all gloom and doom and they could surprise me any team with Teddy,Moses and Brooks in its side is more than capable of winning more than they lose

Understandable…I found Sauaso Sue's Unfiltered interview interesting... http://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2017/01/30/unfiltered_sauaso_su.html he talks about his major focus being on fitness and getting more game time minutes in 2017..playing in the middle or on an edge..

If JJ Felise kicks on like I think he will and the all stay fit a back row of Sue Rowdy and Taylor with Aloiai coming into that rotation off the bench with Woods Seumanufagai Grant and Felise in the middle providing that mix of youth and experience needed to improve...

He jumped over nofo pretty easy in the opposed session video.

Yeah but they all out leap Nofo…..i have no confidence in him in the air but he makes up for it with his carries.

Yes he a strong man. Nofo stood up last year which was great to see.

That would be a rapid rise for one that's had 2 twenties games playing in the toughest defensive possy on the park

Who knows. Given the number of clubs who were chasing him, its clear he's no ordinary kid.

It really depends on what position and the structure they put around him .. centre more complicated than wing but look at what the winger from Storm did last year .. no experience but tall and willing to do the hard returns .. watching the opposed video of what he did to Noffabmade me salivate .. how could anyone think of putting Kev back on the wing after what happened when he was ther before .. tall athletic wingers are future who can handle the ball in the air

Yeah, it could make a lot of sense to ease him in with a year on the wing, both for his development and what the club needs.

there is no point investing in juniors if you are just going to let players get taken when multiple teams show interest in them.

it will be interesting to see the contract simona signs and how he and suli perform over that time.
if suli lives up to expectation it will be a huge saving.

Where I agree it would be great to have a young tall athletic winger in the Izzy Folua mould, but wing is no longer a position you can hide or ease a player into the game. It is now one of the most vital roles on the field, in fact it is nearly a tougher gig than the no1\. In saying that it is worth a try, we certainly need to find a quality winger, rather than the stop gap ones like Rankin

The more I see video highlights from training, the more I think the coaching staff might be tinkering with the idea of blooding Suli on the wing. Just a vibe I'm getting…

Seriously let him develop at his own pace. Some of the comments on here will do him no favours in the long run.I hope the coaching staff DONT rush him.If his performances during the year suggest he is ready then perhaps give him a game but dont push him too early

I agree jadtiger, however, these days in the NRL young players are more and more trained and groomed to be NRL machines, that's why they have all the technology and first class facilities such as S&C,gyms etc..
They train nearly everyday and the expectation is high that they will become successful quickly, its what is in their hearts and the internal fortitude they have that makes or breaks them….how often have we seen young guys with huge wraps in the lower grades not make the NRL arena...just my opinion...cheers...
