Saw Kick-Ass on DVD tonight. It kicked ass.

Kick ass should be re named sucked ass, it is the lamest movie i have seen in a while.
Don't let good reviews suck you in, the story sounds like it would be fun the cover even cons you because it looks cool but the movie is just boring crapola. Oh yeah and Nickolas Cage is at his annoying best as well.

Anyone seen the aussie movie 'Tomorrow When The War Began'? It's very good.

Would like to see it. From the previews it looks like Australia's version of Red Dawn.

I wont be surprised if there will be a sequel because the story isn't really finished yet. I was told there are around 7 books of the story.

It all depends on how successful the first film is. If they can recoup the $25 mil production budget + the advertising campaign costs and make a small profit while its still in theatres, then cash in on post cinema release sales, then it'll probably happen. Its off to a good start, the 3rd biggest opening day for an aussie film behind Happy Feet and Australia, which both made $30+ million.. it's got a long way to go though.

i thought tomorrow when the war began was really good, but i have read most of the books when i was younger. It actually looked pretty good visually which Australian films struggle with, which was good to see. I hope it does well and people go see it :slight_smile:

Just my opinion.

This film is called 127 hours and is based on the true life story of the American hiker who got his arm stuck under a rock and in order to get out he has to cut his arm off.

Aron Ralston is a living legend. That film is at the top of my must see list, alongside "Black Swan".

And he had to forcibly break both bones in his forearm before he could cut it off.

There are 7 books in the series, and then there are 3 more in the Ellie Diary series. I hope to see it very soon, but am worried that it won't live up to the books, which were very well written by John Marsden.

Salt is quality. Did not expect that many twists. Jolie is the only female actress who could carry a character like that and pull it off.

The Other Guys is heaps funny. WIll Ferrell at his best and Mark Whalberg is good too.

Opinions are opinions but I don't know how you can call it boring. It's funny, awkward (good teenage awkward), has good action, controversy (hit girl). And I think you'll find most people don't listen to what reviews say, people see movies if they think they look good based on trailers or friends.

Looking forward to this..

"The Fighter" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_zijS_UAtw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

starring Marky Mark Wahlberg as boxing legend "Irish" Mickey Ward and Christian Bale as his cracked out half brother and trainer Dickie Eklund. Ward best known for his epic battles with Arturo Gatti & Emanuel Augustus.
