I watched Her last week…just got out of court for the restraining order!

But seriously folks, Her with joaquin Phoenix and scarlet johannsen's voice. Really enjoyed it. Thought it was excellent. If you like a movie with depth and is thought provoking you should like it.
Nothing goes boom though, so if you like bright colours and loud noises in your movies you'll be disappointed...

Took the kids to see the Lego movie

They loved it , must see, even the adults were pissing themselves with laughter

ive heard it is really good. although, my mum took my nephews to see it and wasnt rushing out to see it again!
i think it sounds great.

Captain America 2 is pretty cool, better than the first I thought with better action scenes. Acting is ok although the plot is predictable, but the ending ties in with where the Avengers 2 kicks off I believe.

Mate won't be long until you will be doing kids reviews

Went to see Godzilla (3d) today. Thought I'd give it a go seeing it is rating around 8 on imdb.
Well….the cgi was excellent, and the 3d as good as I've seen.

I know you don't go to see a sci fi for extreme cerebral stimulation, but man, there were so many eye rolling moments in this film. I had read somewhere they had made Godzilla scary again (tough task after the 1998 effort!) but didn't see it....

Definitely one to switch your brain off and look at big monsters and big explosions, which I don't mind sometimes. I have to say I was laughing at the end of it. And no, it's not meant to be funny!

Ignore (if you can) the omniscient Hollywood "cookie cutter" storyline and enjoy things going boom.

6 people through the turnstile out of 10.

I rated it a 3 out of 5 so the same sort of percentage.

Just in case any Wests Tigers Fans are going to Sydney Film Festival, two episodes of a TV show I wrote called 'Devils Playground' are showing there on June 11\. It'll be a blast seeing them on the screen, in case anyone is interested.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

wow.
just back from seeing this and have to say that for this genre i found this movie hard to fault in any way.
i went in with high hopes, and am happy to say they were well exceeded.

visually, it is amazing in regard to effects/cgi; it reminds me of when i first saw terminator 2's molten metal terminator or the freeway chase scene in matrix reloaded in that they just seem to have raised the bar in this one.

for a super hero/action type movie i rate this one right up with the best of them (imo, the dark knight and iron man movies).

9 players out of 10 get through the turnstile defence to plunge over the line to score!

* (max 10\. yes, there are 13 players on field, but 10 is the right number for rating movies, so there you go…)

Watching that next week and a few people have said exactly what you have.

I watched Captain America:The Winter Soldier last night. I thought it just lacked something. I found it hard to engage with it for some reason.

Godzilla reached Dark Knight Rises levels of suckiness.

*SPOILER* hundreds of thousands dead and trillions in damage and they call him a hero at the end? i died a little

I watched Godzilla and X-Men Days of Future Past this week and I loved them both I give Godzilla a 7.5/10 and X-Men Days Of Future Past a 8/10

I think you will really enjoy it peaches. It just seems like a movie anyone would have a good time watching.

Saw Godzilla in 3D IMAX last night. Although I enjoyed the film overall the ending was ridiculous and I don't mean the monsters or the fabulous monster fight.

Largely agree. Stick around for the very end credits with X-Men too, there's a post credits scene which ties in directly with the next X-Men film already planned for 2016, X-Men Apocalypse. Fans of the comic book which be very excited with the next instalment.

I heard Godzilla only contains at most 15 minutes of Godzilla footage and X-Men is flawed by not staying true to the comic book origins..?

Nic Cage's "Joe" is worth watching.
"That Awkward Moment" with Zac Efron, watch it with your girl.

Im not a big movie goer at all, but I'll drag out one of many dvd's I got in Bali every now and then, so I tend to watch them. Watched Troy the other day and loved it. Don't mind a bit of swooshing steel action. Totally into Vikings on TV currently.
