Mr "Built For Origin" shows his value to NSW...

There were a few idiots in here who said Ennis' selection ahead of Farah was justified. Show your faces.

Farah in his worst possible form is better than Ennis at his best.

Ennis has always been nothing but an absolute myth. He is a hack who has had more clubs than Greg Norman.

Never ever before have I ever seen a player get such a ride to higher honours simply by sucking extraordinary amounts of media cock in my life. It is absolutely ridiculous.

My son hates Ennis with a passion. I had to stop him throwing a plate at the TV when Ennis gave that penalty away last night.

In all my years of following TGG, I can't ever recall a stupider Origin selection than the continued selection of that talentless hack.

When the going got tough, he Creaghed it.

And let's not forget the following article either….

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/elias-backs-ennis-for-blues/story-e6frexnr-1225700889108" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

FORMER State of Origin warrior Benny Elias believes Bulldogs hooker Michael Ennis is a player who could restore passion and even hate to the Blues for this year's defining series against Queensland.

Yeah Benny, he got some hate back into it, 2/3 of NSW hate the little turd now.

The whole crowd booed Ennis (this is including both NSW and QLD supporters) when he came back on to replace Gidley. And this was before he gave away the penalty.

I think that people are now seeing him for what he really is. An overrated grub who niggles and runs. In a series where NSW needed points, he was overwhelmingly underwhelming. He has nothing and was picked purely on 2009, ahem, "form". NSW won game three last year and the dogs over-achieved and finished 2nd on the ladder. This year has proven where Ennis (and the dogs for that matter) really are.

:master: amen brother!

It irritates the hell out of me.

They pick Ennis for his "niggle" yet ignore the fact that he has all the attacking weapons of a damp sponge. Robbie isn't perfect but if he wasn't always a vastly better option than Ennis. And that ignores any other options at hooker that NSW have.

Ennis is just JMo with a dose of nancy boy.

And the cry baby continues to whinge:

NSW hooker Michael Ennis says he was provoked into fight that ended hopes of win
Exclusive by Dean Ritchie From: The Daily Telegraph July 09, 2010 12:00AM

MICHAEL Ennis last night claimed he was provoked into conceding the penalty that probably cost NSW Origin redemption.

The Blues hooker said he punched Queensland's Nate Myles after "two blatant elbows to the head and a punch".

In another twist to the controversy, Maroons captain Darren Lockyer said he asked the refs to watch Ennis after wearing a "cheap shot" from the fiery rake. Referee

Tony Archer penalised Ennis for fighting Myles and moments later Maroons fullback Billy Slater scored to give Queensland a lead they never relinquished.

But Ennis has revealed to The Daily Telegraph why he starting belting Myles during Queensland's dramatic 23-18 win.

"It wasn't a brain snap or anything," Ennis said. "He [Myles] threw punches for no reason.

"Are you supposed to stand your ground and cop it? I thought 'bugger this' and I put it on him. I was underneath and didn't know what was going on.

"It's disappointing because I feel some sort of blame about what happened. But I spoke to my teammates after the game and they made it clear I didn't do the wrong thing.

"They said they would have retaliated in the same way.

"I don't know whether it was right or wrong but I wasn't going to sit there and cop that sort of stuff. I copped two blatant elbows to the head and a punch. You have to stand your ground.

"I wear my heart on my sleeve. I play aggressive and committed and compete as hard as I can.

"I do everything for my teammates. That's what makes the loss hurt because we had fought so hard to get back into the game."

NSW coach Craig Bellamy described the penalty as "costly".

Ennis was astounded when Archer penalised him.

"Tony Archer said I threw the first punch but it was obvious what happened," Ennis said.

"Nate Myles hit me in the face. That's why I reacted.

"I feel I am always on the back-end of Tony Archer's calls.

"I'm surprised people are saying what they are. It was disappointing to give the penalty away and the fact we couldn't defend the set.

"People are quick to criticise. To cop the press from Phil Rothfield [who wrote in yesterday's Daily Telegraph that Ennis should never represent NSW again] was really disappointing."

Myles was unconcerned about the Ennis punch-up.

"My head feels like I've played 10 games," Myles said. "They can flog the hell out of me all they want and I don't really care."

Ennis was not penalised for a late tackle on Lockyer 10 minutes into the game that drew blood near his left eye. "I said to Shayne Hayne: 'There are a lot of arms around our heads, our necks in the tackles'."

Go away you sook. He had a brain explosion and cost NSW the game. He's a cheap shot merchant whose only valuable skill is that he can pass the ball out of dummy half. He's always the second man in the tackle, he can't make one on one tackles, he has no kicking game and he can't fight. His selection in the Origin squad four games straight is a mystery of epic proportions and will continue to baffle generations after us.

You lost NSW the game. Stop crying to the media like the pansy you are and disappear, preferably to the ESL…

Im no Ennis fan but Myles did give him a few in the head.

If Ennis had fallen over we get a penalty and win the game.

I think Ennis is rubbish, but I dont blame him for doing that.

If it was Robbie gettting whacked in the melon and he got up and whacked the smelly Q'lander in the head I would be as proud as punch.

Gees, he is supposedly great at niggling other players to do stupid things but we all see that other players are much better at niggling him than he is at niggling them. I saw somewhere that he gave away the most penalties during the origin series, including that vital one at the end.

So explain to me again, why is he in the team???

Simon, the way NSW played the game on Wednesday was very grubby indeed - borderline disgraceful to be honest…...

Has it even occured to you that Myles wasnt the aggressor and was in fact retaliating himself for a swinging arm and headslam from Ennis and Snowdoen in the original tackle?

He gets a swinging arm to the face, then a headslam, then is worked on the ground by ennis around the head area, retaliates and then is punched in the head two or three times and you - like your mate Ennis claim NSW was hard done by?

Give it up, you have no leg to stand on.

Yeah Ennis might have copped an elbow or two, but NSW have been doing that kind of crap all series.

And punching Myles is fine, the only problems were he did it when he couldn't defend himself, and as soon as he could Ennis ran like a little [This word has been automatically removed] and hid behind Snowden.

I'm glad someone brought this up.

You would think an "expert" niggler would know when he's being had by someone else.

Myles baited him and he fell for it big time.

No real problem with the retaliation.

My problem was him cowering behind Snowden as soon as Myles got onto his feet and than him crapping his dacks and letting Shillington through basically untouched leading to the final nail in the coffin from the Maroons

Ennis is leading Farah in running away from fights Farah leads in all other categories e.g. tackles, line break assists, tries, kicking game.

So much for Mr built for Origin, if they finally grow a couple and sack the muppet selectors such as Daley who love the bloke NSW might actually be able to compete someday.

Had to laugh this morning on the Big Sports Breakfast.
A fellow calling himself Citizen Tiger (i think he's on this forum too) explained very eloquently exactly why ennis is a myth.
He had TK ,who had been talking up Ennis, stumped.
Citizen Tiger said if Ennis was made for origin it must have been in a south east asian sweat shop.

Awesome! Would have loved to have heard it! Well done, CT

Surely he must be copping a bit of flack in public?

I know I would certainly have some choice words for him if our paths ever cross.

Certainly don't have to worry about him replying physically

Lol, Ennis.

Arguably the biggest urban myth in rugby league today, Lol, remember the people last year who said he was tougher than farah? So tough that when he threw a couple of piss weak punches, he quickly scatters behind a couple of his team mates.

Lol, it's one thing to play decent at club standard and poorly at rep standard, it's another thing to be performing badly at both levels.
