As Geo said recruitment is ongoing and I am certain Cleary and the club have their ear to the ground in regard to players who fit the bill who want in. Quality signings have to want to be here as well.

The other thing is effectively now we have a transfer window for those with cash to spare like some other sports

And like the other sports that have transfer windows the majority of deals happen in the last week of the trade window

The smart thing to do is let the press speculate , talking a player up as a possible pick up basically just adds 10% to their price tag and brings all the vultures around

These type of deals happen very quickly in the end , so a player you may not have been interested in 2 weeks ago or may not have been on your radar suddenly becomes an option for whatever reason

Very different from other purchases ….....

What happens , happens , we are all keen to see what eventuates in the end , patience ...

I think because of our great start - that is steadily starting to slip we are all becoming a little desperate for an injection of something now that might help us hang on, or click to another gear. Not sure that the club and Ivan view it the same way but, in a perfect world an Ellery Hanley type would be great just about now.

My major concern for 2018 with all these signings was that we were a hodge podge of players that may fluke a few wins but in general be in cohesive.

He's already stated his approach. They're not going to buy anyone unless its the right fit. They'll backload the cap if the right player doesn't come along.

Announcing any specifics gives away a competitive advantage. Why would you want to put the club at a disadvantage so you can feel a little more briefed?
