It has been reported in the media that the players went to JT a few weeks ago and wanted to come to some sort of compromise over the football they were playing. Taylor obviously saw the benefits of it so well done to him for adapting and not being too stubborn. Were playing with much more flair and are causing problems for the opposition.
Agree. It's finding the balance of letting natural ability v structure that's the key to our success.

i doubt JT had little say in the matter, we were getting canned most games and we the fans were calling for his head iam sure some one from the board had a quite word in his ear as well as the players. hes still a dill.
I find it a bit hard to swallow this idea that coach has apparently instructed the team to play boring all year, to ill effect, then the players reportedly approach him and request a change, which he grants, and now we are playing better.
So when we played poorly, it was JT's fault, now we are in a bit of form, it wasn't JT's idea, it was him finally giving in to suggestions from other parties.
Maybe it's just the team finally executing all of the plans that have been in place all year? Or maybe it's the players hitting the KPIs required to allow themselves more attacking freedom.
Because there is this pervading idea of "Taylorball" that has been going around the forum, mostly since the Nth QLD game, that we were a stifled and boring attacking side and the players were just praying to be unshackled. Err that game was 10 rounds ago!
The average points scored before the Nth QLD game was 19.1 (10 games), and since then it's 20.0 (9 games). We racked up our 3 highest points totals in Rds 8, 14 and 21\. Pretty evenly spread out?
Personally I just see a team executing better: crisper passes, less bad dropped ball, less costly missed tackles, fewer dumb decisions. We have less inexperienced players in key defensive positions like centre and backrow.
