Heartbreaking: a flogging sometimes is easier as you know you can improve. The effort tonight was there for sure we just could not execute.
Tim Moltzen: Started on fire, great 40/20 followed by a nice try from a cross field run from benji. got taken high and late and typical "Croker" moment and went off to recoup. Never really recovered but showed glimpses of his worth at fullback. 55 mins, 1 try, 1 tackle break, 1 line break
Beau Ryan: Ryan, if only he had more skills as his effort and tireless work is fantastic. 125m with ball in hand
Joel Reddy: Strong player and will become a good asset as he can play anywhere. No miss tackles, 95m running, 1 offload and 1tackle break, 1 error
Chris Lawrence: Not a great night nor year so far. Seems to be a little hesitant or injured. I rate this guy and always cheer when he touches the ball but needs time. 5 missed tackles and 3 errors, 3 tackle breaks and try assist, 90mrunning.
Lote Tuqiri: First game back and needs time but showed his worth. 1 try 1 line break.
Benji Marshall: Showed why Benji in Benji. Try assist, off and on kicking, 1 missed tackle, 32 offloads, 2 line break assists
Tom Humble: I thought he went well and defended above his weight. I would like to see him at 7 for a few weeks or months.
Aaron Woods: Stood up in both defence and attacj.Ran hard and tried his guts out. Played 63min, 43 tackles 1 offload, 112 m and averages 11m per run which is a stand out.
Liam Fulton: Not a hooker but went hard all night, 44 tackles and many where against top players like Burgo, Inglis and others. A decent fill in but I would love to see juniors get promoted
(Liam take a yr off and put on 8kgs as you have good skills and great defence)
Matthew Bell: Both props played way too many minutes due to Ellis injury. Bell made 36 tackles, 1 missed and tried hard :whish is good to see.
Gareth Ellis: Started on a mission but went of injured. Please stay another year your commitment and everything you do in A1
Chris Heighington: I think his time is nearing. His runs are the same as 5 yrsd ago and he goes as hard a possible yet everyone else is getting bigger and strong so he is becoming a little ineffective - Averages 6m per run
Sean Meaney: Didnt get much game time but almost pulled off a 40/20
Ben Murdoch-Masila: Reads Benji well on switched but needs more time on field. He never goes backwards and has ok footwork. Look forward to seeing him play all year off the bench and grow into a great back rower.
Matt Groat: Not much impact but made 20 tackles and played 46mins. I want his line speed and leg drive to improve which can be done
Blake Ayshford: Only 25min but I was hoping for more of an impact. 2 tackle breaks, 1 small line break and 1 error
