What happened to this guy played the same game as brooks and then nothing is he still around and if so can he push his way into the starting 17?
 
Missed all last pre season with a shoulder operation. For a young prop thats huge. Ava and lodge have defnietly jumped him. I wouldn't be giving up on him but you do feel 2015 may be make or break for him with the club.

I hope that he can push his way into the top 17 at some stage during the season, I like the mongrel that he has as long as he can control it in these days where there are no punches.
He never backed down when he played St George in 2013.
 
Look at all pre season photos doesn't look fit at all.

Plays a very aggressive style of football, but no very mobile.

Reminds me of groat a bit…

Hope he can shape up, and put pressure on our current forwards...

He was ogling great.Haven't seen or heard much lately?. I'm sure with the lack of depth in the second row hill get a ho at some point in 2015.

Mick Potter happened. Was almost gone to St. George.

Huh? He's an average prop. Could never, ever play second row. You must be thinking of someone else. Lovett perhaps?

He didn't stand out at NSW Cup level at all last season. Props can look good in NYC only to be crap when they play against men and not boys.

Brown reminds me a bit of a high school bully. Picking on kids smaller than him, but once everyone else catches up to his size he's got nothing.

Hopefully he has a great off season and can contribute in '15 but he wouldn't be in our top 6 props at the moment.
 
He's got a couple of years of development in front of him. Can't assume every young prop is going to come along like Woods did. He's a freak. If he's still struggling in NSW Cup by the time he hits 23/24 you'll have your answer.
 
I love his Mongrel but to me he seems like the lazy type , he used to give a lot of Penalties away in the 20's .
Will maybe end up like the George Rose type player .

I like him .He clicks with books very well.
He just needs a few years under his belt.

in fact - half the squad is - now do you see how Lawrence comes into the fray - the veteran. Back on topic however - maybe props just do it differently

Every single player in the NYC has to either be studying or doing an apprenticeship.

It's why they only train part time. The NRL wants to try ensure young players are developing some skills to set them up post footy.
 
That is if you are in the NYC - how many first graders do we have that are still eligible for NYC.

I'm not sure whether he has a future with us or not, but it's crazy to be writing him off when he's 21\. Plenty of props just don't mature until later. Brenton Lawrence is a good example of a player who needed some extra time.

Personally, I'd persevere with him. Has the mongrel we need. It's not as though he's in the first tier anyways.
