Flanagan not permitted by NRL coach in 2020.
Fitzgibbon already said not interested.
Kevvie Walters not keen on the conditions of the open ended performance based coaching contract.

Starting to get slim.

Adam O'Brien is supposedly the front runner

@Russell I like 'Hook' and think he was treated like dog sh*t by Penrith.

He knows how to coach, and they could do alot worse than give him a call.

Flanagan might be shady, but he took the sharks from being a literal laughing stock to Premiers. That's nothing to sneeze at if your a football club re-building from 3 straight wooden spoons.

Hooks mentality might work for a club like Newcastle.

Nathan Brown clarified his 'plenty of selfish coaches out there ruining footy clubs’ comment on NRL360. Sounds a lot like Ivan Cleary. The dude made a bunch of short term roster decisions to try to get results without considering what those signings actually mean. And it's buggered us.

I wonder why Brownies coaching technique didn’t quite catch on at the Knights😁😉

Isaac Moses again with his grubby fingerprints all over another club [Newcastle]. Managers/agents in the NRL are the scum of the earth. 99% of people don't even know they exist, yet they control just about everything going on in the NRL.

Nathan Brown leaves Newcastle Knights with immediate effect
By Ben Glover

The farcical coaching situation at Newcastle has been ended by the club, with confirmation Nathan Brown's exit has been brought forward. Assistant coach Kristian Woolf will take over in a caretaker capacity for the remainder of the season.

Brown and the club last week agreed to part ways at the end of this season but that decision was undermined by a 46-4 thumping at the hands of the Wests Tigers on Saturday when finals were still in the equation.

The Knights this afternoon released a statement confirming the news. "The nib Newcastle Knights can confirm coach Nathan Brown has departed the club effective immediately," the statement said.
"This decision has been made in conjunction with Brown in the best interest of the club. "Kristian Woolf will take over as interim coach for the remainder of the 2019 season."

Brown's exit comes less than 24 hours after a Daily Telegraph report claimed Brown had told Knights players immediately after their shocking loss to the Tigers that he would leave immediately if they felt it was in the best interest of the team. According to the report Brown left that offer in the hands of the club's senior players to think over for the rest of the weekend and had not got a response at the time the report was filed.

That may now be viewed as a vote of no confidence after the Knights made the call to cut Brown loose with two matches remaining in the regular season. There has been plenty of speculation about Brown's relationship breakdown at the club, with Newcastle legend Andrew Johns strong in his view that management had sabotaged the side's finals chances with its handling of the matter.

Can add player managers with having too much power these days.

@Kazoo-Kid just to clarify your post (as it seems like speculation that needs to be taken with a grain of salt) - how and what is Isaac’s involvement within the organisation of Newcastle that has subsequently led to the axing of Nathan Brown? Any sources??

Moses and Pezet are mates, they were doing deals without the knowledge of Buderus and a host of others high ranking officials at the club. Check out who manages most of the players the knights signed, even the ones they didn't need(Mann to play hooker, Brown didn't even know about it), very shady jobs for the boys

@Tigerboy
He's supposedly good friends with the recruitment manager Perets. Moses is the manager of new coach Obrein Gardiner the boss is new to position very inexperienced and been taking advice from Perets see a pattern forming Ponga has been told to get a new manager and is being pushed towards Moses. It stinks!
Also Moses is the Manager of Seibold at the Broncos as well as a couple of there high priced Stars thankfully we're past all this rubbish and have moved on good luck to KNIGHTS and BRONCOS your going to need it.
