Nathan said there were no other offers on the table to consider HELLO nobody else could talk to him before Nov 1.Time for big decision to be made at WTs let's hope they have the Kahoonas to make them.

True, and we do need to move on Brooks, but whilst ever Ivan stays silent the media will not leave it alone.

I hope they make the decision, and make it quickly, but I suspect the decision is already made

No surprise there. Good on him, nice to see loyalty, admittedly with a nice pay cheque in return. I now hope the situation with dad gets resolved very quickly so WT can get on with things.
 
I see this as more of a psychological blow to the Tigers, than any actual loss.

We haven't signed an up and coming star in a long time, so it would have been nice to have bragging rights over his signature. But that's about it.

I have no doubt that Nathan will have a successful career, but he is no Andrew Johns or JT in the making from what we have seen so far.

Hopefully we can get this crap storm that his father has centered around him sorted shortly, and concentrate on signing some decent players in key positions. That will do us more benefit in the long term than Nathan Cleary wearing our colours and leaving the second his dad gets the punt.

Loved that marina mentioned how important brooks and Josh were to the Tigers when the Ivan situation was going on.

Hopefully that message is filtered down to them regularly.
 
Finally.. hopefully the NC talk is over. He was never coming to us (even says so himself) and I am sure Ivan knew it and Pascoe too. The whole story just cranked his contract up and gave Gus something to worry about.
I agree with others who are saying that we need quality forwards more than him. Momo and Matterson are a good start but now we desperately need to bring on a couple of impact forwards.
 
I am happy that the NC speculation has finished.Brooks to be re-signed and NCs money to be used strenthening a week spot or two.
