Nathan Cleary

Yeh panthers success will come back to bite them. There junior nursery is overflowing though so it won't affect them if players go too much.

Not guaranteed but

Basing your future success on unproven juniors got us far lol

Seems pretty clear he won't be at the Panthers. Given the amount of time he's had to sign contracts there, I'd be surprised if he stays.

We should have a pretty decent halves pairing.

He'd be crazy to come here just to play for his dad. They're building something special at Penrith.

Peachy gone end of the year

Maloney has about 2 years left at the very max

A lot of there players are coming off contract and would be looking for upgrades in money and that won’t be possible if Nathan signs on especially if they’ve resigned mansour for good $

So you think they're going bad? Righto ..

So you would work under someone that sacked your parent.

Maybe, maybe not. Baseing a decision on your career path on something that happened to a family member may not be the smart choicr though.

I'm with you Gallagher, I think Cleary will want to bag a Premiership with Penrith before thinking about coming here. They are close to that Premiership, but it may not be this year. Penrith have been building for a long time and Cleary has been a big part of it. Now it's finally happening, why would you want to leave before pay dirt?

Never said such thing currently atm they’re going really good

But imo short term success

2-3 years times I’m not too sure they’ll be up contending for the premiership imo

Penrith have been trying to extend his contract for over a year now like i have said before i think Nathan will be playing for the Tigers next year Gus has said in the past if he wants to leave he can and Gus knows he has alot of good young players he needs to tie up
And Nathans knows what he has at Penrith been there for a few years if you want to stay just sign the new contract

Yes and two of our ex players integrity was dragged through the mud on here for having contracts on the table for lengthy times leaving the club hanging while they made a decision as to what direction they wanted to go in.
Seems that same standard is not being held towards Nathan by Tigers fans cause we may be a good chance of getting him. Im sure Penrith fans and the club would like to know one way or another before they lose anymore players to other clubs if he does decide to walk.

Nathan is still signed for next year our 2 were not. I don't think we can even have contract discussions until later in the year anyway.

Yep understand but it appears that Penrith are getting to that point where the longer he holds off the more indecision it places on securing further contracts.
You would think it can only be them or us - and or the value of the contract.
I realise he has time till other we can talk to officially talk but lets face it apart from figures the talk has more than likely started some time ago.

I don't see it happening. We're almost certainly letting go of Brooks if that's the case since I doubt we can afford Brooks + Reynolds + Cleary. I think he'll stay at Penrith.

That's the difference right there. Nathan can't officially talk with other clubs yet, though it's pretty clear that he at least wants to wait until he can and then he will make his decision.

The ex-Tigers players were stringing us along, and as soon as we stopped the music they jumped to the nearest non-Tiger chair. They were never going to re-sign, were just playing us.

That's the last I'm commenting on them, they aren't worth our time.

Cleary will come over to us I think. Hope if we don't get up, he can win it at Penrith this year.

Ivan said that he dislikes coaching again Nathan, that can only be a positive sign.
