Nathan Cleary

Taken with a grain of salt at the moment so far out…..
Roosters are linked with every player and coach who either hits form or hits the market - Bronoc's not far behind and with the whole Bennett/Bellamy kerfuffle recently its to be expected
If I was being very analytical about it and not looking at it through jaded, success hungry Tigers eyes, I would say Cleary Snr hasn't really proven himself and set the world on fire at WT so either destination is really after Jnr and will take Snr as a package deal - i hope this is the case as Snr will see it for what it is and with a nice little addition from Mr Meriton, we'll snag both (the big if is whether Jnr REALLY wants to be coached by Snr?!?!)

Father Ivan still has a contract for 2020 does he not? I'd hazard a guess and say the he wouldn't be at the dinner table telling Nathan not to come to the Tigers because he can't produce success and not sign any big names. He would essentially be undermining his own ability and name to his son, which in turn would drive Nathan away. Not very professional or something you would expect from Ivan.

On the other hand perhaps Nathan is privy to some potentially big signings and is eyeing off a big push for a fairytale gf which would make him by far the richest player in the comp at 24yrs old??

ALL hypotheticals… Let's see how it plays out ay.

So Farah Returns….

and the coach is being linked elsewhere, with his son.

Where have I heard this before.....

Co-incidence?

Arrghh you beat me to it.

Why have Pascoe or the board not responded to this. I’d stated in another thread that maybe Robbie would get him the punt.

Think about it from Cleary's perspective.

He signed some slow plodders here for the next 3 years, we have poor facilities and have not made finals in 7 years. If the Roosters and Broncos come in and offer him good money with his son then I doubt he will stick around. Knows those rosters will be strong for years to come.

Wouldn't surprise me if he bolted in 18 months if were trudging along in the Bottom 4-6\. Wouldn't make him too popular here but its not like he is a Tigers man in his history.

He was a Tigers fan growing up

Cant believe a Dean Richie rumour got so much traction. No point worrying about it now there is a long time before Nathan decides what he is doing.

IC is a coach who has a reputation for rebuilding teams. His reputation would take a hit if he left and went to a team for more money and abandoned the club he was helping.

And I think it's pretty clear NC idolises his dad, and will want to be coached by him. I'm betting IC's integrity keeps him at the WT and draws NC along for the ride.

Junior panthers, senior tigers is my bet.
Panthers would really have to stuff up to lose him.
Senior will stay with us and

Brooke’s goes ok.
Cleary is looking for outside backs and must have some in mind
Our salary cap is good
Forwards a worry but let’s see who he selects (shops around) in th3 next few weeks

Neither team will get them I think they both will stay where they are and if IC can turn the club around by the time NC finishes his next contract they both will sign with another team or meet up at the Tigers

A lot of you are obsessed with our gym facilities, poor you say - how many fans have even seen our facilities? I bet not many!
This is becoming a consistent bug bear, I suggest we stick with what we actually know - Reynolds mentioned he wasn’t going to a team because they may have a few more dumbbells.

If we only stuck with what we knew there wouldn’t be a forum!! 99% of us know sweet fanny adams about what really goes on!

Yes always amuses me as well,if the facilities do not fit certain needs these can be attained off site , do we really think a player offered a huge contract will say sorry the Broncos have there name on there dumbbells so I am going there !I think there are other things in play that top liners do not want to be at the club.
