Nathan Cleary

If we were the Roosters, we’d give Ivan a top up, seeing as how he’s exempt from the cap, with it really going to Nathan. Pretty full proof idea that.

From next year there is a Cap for the non-playing staff.
3 million for all the clubs except for Storm, Broncos and Roosters they get 12 million.

The cap covers the entire football department and includes coaches, assistant coaches, non-playing staff, equipment and even camps, oh and also includes sacked coaches.

Do you know what the dollar figure is?
My post was a bit of sarcasm.

From bulldog bites - sporting news

CLEARY NOT A SURE THING AT CONCORD
Penrith is still confident of retaining Nathan Cleary, despite expected interest from Wests Tigers, where his father, Ivan, coaches.

The Panthers are working away quietly in the background trying to nail down Cleary long-term.

I’d throw a few bucks on Cleary remaining at Penrith.

Dean Ritchie is throwing darts with a blindfold on & hoping to hit the bullseye .
2 weeks ago he said the Clearys were going to the Broncos

Yeah my money would be on Ritchie not liking the Wests Tigers getting good positive stories so came up with this rubbish. he hates the club and will always bet against us.

I’m not usually one of those posters who plays the victim card about refs and journos hating us, but Ritchie does. Along with his wino co worker and Weedler. Their agenda against the club is real.

I don’t think Nathan will be here next year. He re-signed with Penrith after Ivan left.

Nathan may have signed with Penrith after Ivan left but Ivan was not coaching then and was lining up at the local soup kitchen so no guide to what Nathan may do going forward.

You were pretty much correct except the Rorters still have a mil left.

5.7m. Not sure if thats set in stone yet.

Gould seemed pretty positive he would stay with them on 100% Footy on Monday night.

Who knows - they are all covering up what really is on the cards.

N Cleary would be nice, but 'first thing first', we need at least 5 strong and aggressive forwards, as we are always too weak in the middle.
2 props, 2 2nd rowers and lock all 190+ and 110 kg+ e.g Taumalolo, Klemmer, Boyd, A Paasi,Tuikeaho, Papalii are on my wish list 😛ray:
with at least 60m every set that these guys would run, N Cleary would be nice, but Raynolds will do
Go Tigers :sign:

Wests Tigers are not Disneyland where wishes come true.

You could be a bit disappointed Chief!

We all new the salary cap was increasing but I’m sure the Rorters had a mole at NRL Board level so they knew exactly how far to push all the additional signings they made and continue to make.

The roosters and bronco's show scant regard to the cap, they just buy who they want, that is why I hope neither win the comp

I’d go a step further - if either are in the GF, don’t watch it. Send those useless grubs at NRL that we are sick of their intentional bias and incompetence

Cbf reading all this.
Anything new to report?

Nathan Cleary still is a chance to sign with Tigers, same as page 1\. Only diff being that Gus has stated publicly now that he'd give the move his blessing if Nat chose to go to Tigers.

He said that at least a week ago.

Funny how Gus has come out and said that
As if it's up to Gus where Nathan plays
This is all Nathan's decision
Not Gusses
What else can he say really
No you cant go to another club

Forget about brown paper bags Gus
If you want Nathan to stay you will need to bring out the Versace Brief case full of Green backs

He actually said it at the beginning of this year…as stated by Ivan on NRL 360 and rehashed last week when Cleary was questioned about Nathan prior to the Dogs game but never mind..

Surely Nathan Cleary wouldn't put Penrith threw this whole wait and see stuff if he was going to stay. He could get a massive 5 year deal deal right at the Riff so so why risk letting your contract run down with an injury or something untimely? He seems like a pretty straight up and down kid. Honestly as long as Ivan is here for the long term I reckon Nathan will be here in 2020.

They will say all the politically correct things about a November decision and yada yada. Ivan is usually pretty guarded I have been surprised me some of his comments in relation to this. The frankness and the smirks. He looks supremely confident to me reading between the lines that this is going to happen. Thats just a pure gut feeling no inside info or whatever. If it had to put money on it i would put it on them being together in 2020, and we are in the driving seat for that to happen. The only thing that slightly concerns me is Gould trying to get Ivan back to Penrith - I would not put it past him.
